Jung So Min and Kim Yo Han in Talks for Revenge Sageuk K-drama Sunrise Moon
Two unexpected names are being floated together for a new K-drama and I’m oddly okay with this pairing. Jung So Min and Kim Yo Han are in talks for sageuk K-drama Sunrise Moon. It’s a second chance female centric tale of revenge and straight up C-dramas spate of born again female lead dramas. The female lead loses everything and has her entire family wiped out and she goes back to the age of 20 and has a do-over and plans her revenge. The male lead is described as a man who lives within only his four walls so sounds like some sort of shut in syndrome or choosing to disengage from the world for whatever reason. The PD directed Marry My Husband and Spring Fever with the script from that won the KT Studio Genie best script competition.
Can he act? I know NOTHING about him. Google said he’s an idol. Oh man!
I hope this is good because the last few dramas Jung So Min has been have been terrible to say the least. She was one of my favorites but I’ve been losing faith in her being able to choose good scripts.
I hope this is good too! Her last 2 dramas did get better than expected ratings despite the wonky writing, so one could say she chose pretty well in that respect. At least, they’re better than the dark period of “Soul Mechanic” and “Monthly Magazine Home” – both of which had bad ratings on top of iffy writing.
I remember Kim Yo-han’s acting not being well-received when he was starting out. Did he get good with The Winning Try? Maybe it doesn’t matter much if the female lead is the actual main character and the ML is just the romantic support.
Why? He’s not a good actor and he’s easily overshadowed by other actors… He never acted in a sageuk neither. He looks way younger than her.
She deserves a better actor!
