Song Zu Er and Song Wei Long in Talks for Tencent Modern Romance C-drama Kiss in the Wind
A new potential pairing is being talked about in C-drama casting circles and one looks more likely than the other to sign on. Tencent modern romance C-drama Kiss in the Wind (等风热吻你 Deng Re Feng Wen Ni) is being offered to Song Zu Er and Song Wei Long as the leads. Reportedly she’s basically confirmed for this as her next drama but him not so certain that he will pick this one. I’m good with them being cast actually, big buzzy leads with strong fandoms to generate more buzz and I actually think they would not just look visually good together but the acting styles will be nicely complementary. She’s a lot stronger but he’s got that lunkiness which could work alongside her.
I like her, I like him and while I don’t think the story itself is that strong, I’m excited to see her in a modern drama after all the historicals she’s been filming. Visually they’d look good together but unsure on the chemistry.
As long as they’re both supported by solid production (direction + writing), I can watch them. I’ve tried dramas that have good actors in the cast, but regardless of their skill level, I haven’t been able to progress through the episodes if the plot didn’t appeal to me.
Girl can act but keeps taking these roles with guys who can’t. Case in point. Why girl, why.
She has a republican spy drama with Guo Qilin that will probably air by July.
I wish she’d do more slice of life drama like The Bond and Created in China.
