I feel like this is the start of C-drama castings to come, the names floated for the leads are the second leads from the last few years as the big names move away from idol dramas whether out of choice to seek prestige projects or aging out. A new C-drama titled The Princess has cast Liu Xie Ning and Zhang Kang Le as the leads, though this may still be up in the air because immediately there came gossip that the two sides are jostling for billing position. TBH neither are established and Liu Xie Ning has a leg up simply because she can act where Zhang Kang Le genuinely so far is one of the worst actors I’ve ever seen in the most laughably bad way. Anyhoo, if C-production is smushing these two together it genuinely means the baton is being passed to the next generation of stars being elevated.
