Tencent Releases Teaser Posters of Ju Jing Yi for Female Revenge Anthology C-drama Wan Hua Sin as Filming Kicks Off
This drama Wan Hua Sin has been in development hell for three years starting with Dilraba Dilmurat and popular male leads and now ending with confirmed female lead Ju Jing Yi and a bevy of mostly unknown or rising male leads. The first go around felt like a wish list and this more like reality, but there is already some complaints and concerns. First, the drama is reportedly going to be 86-episodes (!!!) which sounds insane but since it’s anthology then each distinct story getting around a dozen episodes could make sense. The story as Ju Jing Yi acting as the judge, jury, executioner as she goes to different time periods and different narratives to punish the male lead and right wrongs for the female lead of that particular tale. She’s basically the active narrator and I think the casting will work with her. But her fans are annoyed as the pictures have leaked of Ao Rui Peng filming the first anthology already as that male lead but the female lead is a different actress, reportedly when Ju Jing Yi enters the story she may be in the body of a different woman hence that role played by a different actress. Her fans are not happy about that because it means less screen time.

Sounds odd but could be interesting. Time will tell.
Who’s going to watch 86 episodes of this girl’s terrible acting? Damn, the lives of fans are so hard lmfao. Her fans know perfectly well why they’re angry. The acting is extremely bad, shes not a actress but a figurine. The girl just wants to be like a plastic doll everywhere. Never to be even slightly in a different character. She’ll be outshined easy again to someone making cameo like Zheng Hui Zi in “In Blossom.” I couldn’t finish this drama even though Liu Xueyi was quite good.
Some fans really need to stop meddling in all and everything! Unlike many others, JJY is her own boss so if she has taken on the drama she must have been happy with the screentime as it is.
It is a rather sad situation when fans (and production teams) have so little faith in their actor’s ability to stand out, that they cannot tolerate even the slightest threat of competition. Good actors have no problem with other good actors in a drama. Unfortunately, JJY’s only concern is looking pretty in every scene, so of course she will be overshadowed by anyone who can act, but she has only herself to blame for that.
It’s 86 episode because the length per episode is like micro drama.
Ju Jing-yi’s dark under-eye idol makeup look like it actually suits this drama. I think it would be more interesting to have the main character inhabit a different body for each case. Or maybe she swaps back and forth.
I agree that the episodes are likely really short. 86 full-length episodes is a lot to ask of the audience these days and a lot to ask of JJY since that could tie up her schedule.
