On deck for the June 2026 C-dramas may be a shelved one that could be releasing at a better time for the leads. Modern office romance Love Has Fireworks with Tan Jian Ci and Wang Chu Ran is reportedly going to be released in mid-June 2026 so sometime next month. It was filmed in 2023 and was supposed to air in 2024 but then the second male lead got cancelled after a slew of bad reveals. The drama wasn’t one of those big budget ones so maybe the production was wondering if the cancellation will get reversed before putting more money into replacing him. They have since had another actor re-film and the role will be AI face-swapped and now aired. Since 2024 Wang Chu Ran has surged in positive popularity and Tan Jian Ci is actually in a drama free period so having this air now could be good timing for both.

FINALLY! The trailer has a fun, sparring couple romcom vibe, with snappy repartee. I hope that’s the case, but I worry how they can keep that up for 40 episodes. Seems a bit excessive. I’m also surprised they went with the AI replacement for Zhang Hao Wei, but I like Lin Xin Ze. Hopefully it doesn’t look too bad.
