Kim Tae Ri to Star in K-drama Adaptation of Revenge and Second Chance Webtoon I’m The Queen In This Life
Looks like K-dramas are getting into the makjang female lead time travel revenge stories that C-dramas do often. I thought I would see more after Marry My Husband but there was a lull and now K-drama land is adapting webtoon I’m The Queen In This Life where the female lead dies and awakens 15 years earlier and gets a re-do. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the source webtoon story, which is set in a fictional European royal kingdom so it’s also unclear if the adaptation will keep that in the way The Remarried Empress is doing so or will move it to a Korean royal setting. The news that makes this drama way more interesting is that Kim Tae Ri has been offered the female lead and the production is from the team that did mega hit drama Reborn Rich. Kim Tae Ri is a queen among acting queens and her involvement makes any drama worth checking out for her alone.
Is she truly a queen among acting queens? Not to have qualms about this claim, but I’ve yet to warm up to her. I checked out all her dramas thanks to her reputation, but none have impressed me yet.
I think she can act but I too am not sure about the “queen amongst all queens” acting title. And my enthusiasm for her cooled after the result of the poll from reporters re: who do they believe are the most impolite/discourteous celebrities of k-ent (she was in the top 3).
Since when does her acting talent have to do with the quality of her dramas? It’s not intrinsic actually. You can enjoy a solid K-drama even if the actors aren’t impressive, you’ve mentioned it yourself on several occasions lol.

Perhaps rather than a female-led makjang being the trend, the trend would be protagonists going back in time to exact revenge. You’d have Reborn Rich, Marry My Husband, Reborn Rookie, and this Queen drama as part of that trend, with only Marry My Husband being handled by a different team.

Wow, this is a ridiculous opinion to have on KTR.😂 Her last drama was 3 fuckin’ years ago. And if and when this drama comes out that will be 4 fuckin non-active years to a drama watcher. Do you want actors to shoot a drama once every decade or something? Might as well tell them all to just retire.
