The summer is soon heading into the final weeks as schools begin right after the lazy dog days are over. C-actress Wu Jin Yan was IMO one of the few big winners in the summer of 2024 C-drama sweepstakes, her drama The Double kicked off the season in June and remains of the buzziest airings for the last two months. It successfully rejuvenated her career and if she can capitalize with the release of Kill Me Love Me with Liu Xue Yi soon(ish) and that’s also a hit then it’s going to give her a bigger leveling up for the next few projects she receives. She’s in a fun fashion pictorial for Bella Magazine‘s August 2024 edition that makes me realize she’s has such a figure for wearing clothes.
Wu Jin Yan is not your typical beauty but she has top model quality, imo. The pretty but in an outlandish way quality. And her upcoming drama, Kill me Love me sound like a real addictive one too, at least judging by the plot on MDL.
Her figure is much healthier-looking now. I remember being shocked seeing her in modern wear during Yanxi Palace days, she was all skin and bones back then.

I like her look–different, with a hint of eclectic. I also like her expression in the blue photo. She always looks best when she’s at her most pensive.
Good observation. Those close ups of her when the Duke first lays eyes on her and second time in the nunnery were so hauntingly beautiful. The director did a great job.

Fun but slightly confusing editorial. It looks like two totally different photoshoots with OTT high fashion pieces and then regular looking outfits.
I am finally watching “The Double” and I find it a bit jarring when the script keeps telling us how beautiful she is because I find her pretty but not a great beauty. I don’t know if it’s the styling or the frequent wide angle close ups they keep using in the drama but I think she looks a bit odd in some scenes.
IMO the most beautiful girl in the drama by far is the young actress who plays her maid, Tong’Er. I also remember this actress from “My Journey to You” where she gave a memorable performance. I hope she will land some lead roles in the next few years. She is so pretty and a very good actress too.

Her next drama with Liu Xue Yi looks interesting and it seems YZ wanna pair her again with Wang Xing Yue.
Uhh eclectic is a nice way to put it, I suppose. Bizarre to clownish is what I would describe her ensembles. But it’s high fashion, so I guess anything goes…
