C-netizens Think Li Qin Shades Male Lead Zeng Shun Xi as She Bids Farewell to Her Role in C-drama Snowy Night: Timeless Love

Of the three higher profile C-dramas that premiered in October, the least buzzy and watched has been wuxia drama Snowy Night: Timeless Love with Li Qin and Zeng Shun Xi. I enjoyed gazing at the snowy artistic stills but have no interest to watch a drama with these two leads unless it gets rave reviews. And it didn’t, the reception is pretty flat and the drama recently ended its run with more buzz for what happened outside the drama. Female lead Li Qin posted a farewell on her Weibo to the drama and her role, using a snippet of dialogue from the source novel that was meant for the male lead. Except the picture she used was her character dying in the arms of second male lead Wang Hong Yi, so netizens take it as a very obvious shade to Zeng Shun Xi. The TL:DR is that the leads had a billing conflict when the drama was cast and they also reportedly did not get along during filming either. But regardless of whether Li Qin feels justified to be snippy now, netizens don’t like her doing this as its perceived as bitchy and graceless.

    • I would like to believe there is no such thing but that reminds me of something. Aren’t there reports claiming Joseph had conflicts with Tian Xi Wei in Romance on the Farm?

Hopefully these are just rumors coz I recall Joseph had good chemistry and fun with Ju Jing Yi in Rebirth for You.

I didn’t watch it once I knew it has a bad ending. Sorry I only go for living-happily-after stories

      🤣🤣🤣🤣

  2. She’s bidding farewell to her character… her last moments weren’t with him… and the photo she chose barely even had the side face for the second male lead. Haters will always nitpick on something…

  3. She absolutely was, not all is well there. She isn’t one to usually do this. There was quite a bit of talk about this on Weibo and Douban.

  4. Li Qin is a pretty girl but after I saw her in “We Are In Love S2”, she kinda put a bad taste in my mouth. She can be pretty bitchy if she wanted to. She’s not sweet like her looks.

    • LOL! The netizens would have ripped her for shading the actor for the SML if she had photoshopped Joseph Zeng’s face! It makes sense that her last scene – her death scene – would be the photo chosen for her farewell post.

  5. Hmm anyway as long as they’re not openly tearing each other out, it’s still speculation. As for the drama not being buzzy… I don’t really like both of them anyway, never seen it on any social media

    • I guess it becoming norm 🤷, which is awful .it will be nice just to focus on their acting and project but I guess every site what clicks so every thing goes

  6. I watched the behind the scenes and it did seem she hungout and get along with other costars than him, but I feel ppl are reading too much in the image, she used her dying picture as it was her scene before she died, she was more focused on HER than the ML or the story, you can call that being self centered than shading Zeng Shun.

  7. Netizens are overthinking but oh well…all in all, it is the only drama that managed to keep my attention from start to finish for October. That was a soothing watch and despite the lack of skinship, I tremendously enjoyed their interactions/chemistry.

  8. I don’t think there’s any evidence behind this one, there interviews and behind the scenes they seemed really chummy and lots of joking between them compared to other cast members
