Park Bo Gum in Talks for Next Drama and Also Brings Back Answer Me 1988 OTP Throwback with Hyeri Backstage at the 2025 Baeksang
The cast of Answer Me 1988 is/was very close and in the past would get together from time to time in the intervening 10 years since the drama aired. I say was now because two costars dated and then broke up so not sure if the full group hangouts be happening go forward. But I rarely saw leads Park Bo Gum and Hyeri hanging out solo and I’m a one billion percent Team Taek shipper so that always was something I would have loved to see but understood the two characters did get together in the end so I always have that lol. But this week the two did have a solo just the two of them moment backstage at the 2025 Baeksang Awards in the camera booth and it was cuteness to the nth degree. My Taek and Deok Sun forever heart is filled to the brim. And Park Bo Gum has certainly been beyond busy what with hosting the award, being up for Best Actor, and then now already in talks for his next drama. He’s been offered the male lead in the K-drama Night Traveler from the writer of Move to Heaven and Angel Eyes. No word on the genre, period, or plot but that makes it even more interesting to anticipate what it may be about.

Isn’t this the same Night Wanderer as the one with Deng Lun and Nini. Too bad that one never got released let’s see by when this one will come. But PBG has to film a movie first so this might not air before 2027.

Yep this was a cute little moment for Team Taek. I loved Park Bo Gum’s chemistry with Hyeri in Reply 1988, but I did wonder if the casts closeness and the former couple might put a wrench in those two being paired up again. Eve. I love it when actors with great chemistry reunite. Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara have done mulitple dramas together. A Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye reunion truly needs to happen. Kim Yoo Jung and Kim So Hyun reuniting with Yeo Jin Goo is something I’m looking forward to as well.
Not a fan of this pair on screen. PBG was the only actor among the cast of Reply 1988 that I appreciate. The other main cast failed me with all their dramas, old and new. It’s personal taste. Nothing to defend or argue about. As a fan of Bogum, I hope not to watch him with Hyeri in any drama again.
