Workplace and Romance K-drama Secret Audit Cast Leads Shin Hye Sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae Wook, and Hong Hwa Yeon
A foursome of K-stars has been confirmed for a new K-drama on deck, not sure yet if it will air this second half of 2025 or early next year. The drama is titled Secret Audit and is a workplace comedy and romance. The leads are Shin Hye Sun and Gong Myung playing members of the office secret audit squad that monitors all the shenanigans that go on, with Kim Jae Wook as the company VP with an emotional family past and Hong Hwa Yeon as his devoted secretary. I’m not sure when Gong Myung became headlining male lead status but he was always more comic relief for me so this feels like Shin Hye Sun continuing to get saddled with meh level male leads. But I love the second leads, Kim Jae Wook of course but also including fresh faced Hong Hwa Yeon who was fantastic in Buried Hearts earlier this year. This sounds like a lighthearted drama for a casual watch.
No hate to GM, but I’m baffled at how they cast him as the male lead over KJW… Not to mention he looks much more compatible with SHS. Anyways, SHS’s netflix drama with Lee Junhyuk sounds more promising to me.
Kim Jae wook looking so handsome as always… but wish he was the lead…oh well. Is it his age that is limiting him for male lead? Someone out there give him main lead again please?
So, KJW are now taking all the interesting supporting roles instead of being ML. I found him fascinating as one of the most bizarre and chilling psychos in My Dear Hongrang. Ahjussi still exuded charisma galore as a scaring baddie. lol. I’m perhaps more interested in KJW than the ML GM.

Wow this is a case where I wish the male leads could switch places. I would love to see a Shin Hye Sun & Kim Jae Wook combo. I hope we get two seperate couples for this drama. Tired of so called triangles and squares with friendzoned 2nd leads. I hope whatever they give Kim Jae Wook and Hong Hwa Yeon is solid. It would be a waste of his presence if he has no romance storyline of his own or the writer waits until the last couple of eps to give him one. Hopefully the writer and PD take a page from Business Proposal with how well the storyline for the 2nd leads was done. Hoping Kim Jae Wook takes on more leads in the future. I think he’d be AMAZING as the male lead in a serious romance drama starring Jun Ji Hyun. I think they’d have sizzling chemistry together.
I always look forward to any KJW dramas. He’s so talented that he deserves to always be the ML but I guess it’s not a big deal with him as long as he likes the character.
Kim Jae Wook needs to be involved in good productions, even if he is not necessarily the male lead. His acting as the villain in Voice (2017) continues to be one of my favorites to date and it hurts me to see his talent being wasted.

also, he’s not a gret actor – he tends to overact.

So many old AF actors who aren’t even half as handsome or talented as Kim Jae Wook get cast in lead roles all the time, so I don’t think it’s an age issue. Probably just his choice to take roles that interest him, even if they’re not lead roles 🤷🏻♀️
Also, old or not, won’t change the fact that KJW is gorgeous and an excellent actor 🤷🏻♀️
Gong Myung is younger than geezer Kim Jaewook so it is obvious that he will be the lead actor.
