First Look at Ao Rui Peng and Dai Lu Wa Filming iQiyi Investigation Thriller Period C-drama Now or Never
The timing couldn’t be better to hear about a new Ao Rui Peng drama especially when it sounds similar to his currently popular one airing. The Coroner’s Diary is doing well in buzz and ratings and is looking like a true breakout for Ao Rui Peng, while Moonlight Mystique did okay it didn’t help his career as much as this one likely will. But he is currently filming period investigation thriller C-drama Now or Never (Chinese title Yi Dian Hao Ran Qi 一点浩然气) with female lead Dai Lu Wa and the first stills are out from the set showing their costuming. Nothing to write home about (yet) but in terms of female leads at his level Ao Rui Peng really got a suitable partner here in Dai Lu Wa and it could be the second great pairing for him after Li Lan Di in The Coroner’s Diary.

I just hope he doesn’t get a face full of heavy makeup again. I just can’t ignore it anymore lately. Lol.
continue to set your eyes on the south korean industry since everything about china seems to hurt you — you’re always complaining about the plot, the makeup, the acting, the filming…
South Korean entertainment is solid and continues to evolve, I would be a fool to take my attention away from it – it represents 60% of my enjoyment when I’m at home. But in order that you don’t continue to create a narrative in your head where I am sinophobic (as you labeled me before), I will let you know that Chinese novels occupy 15%. Also, I appreciate the artistic values of six C-dramas released between 2024-2025. Lol. I hope that with this information, your blood pressure will be okay.
C-ent actors indeed like to powder their face too much, specifically in costume dramas. They should tone down and that would look much better.
@Somebody, 100% agree. My attention is not always focused on that when actors are able to exude charisma like Wang Xingyue in The Double tho. Something must be saved.
In C-dramas there is also excessive use of airbrush on the skin. The worst part is that they even make an effort to make it consistent scene after scene.
