Han So Hee Lands Big Role Opposite Byun Woo Seok in the Netflix Adaptation of Super Popular Webtoon Solo Leveling — 9 Comments

  1. I feel so sorry for her apparent loss of status after that regrettable real-life romance entanglement. She seems to be the only one worse off out of the three actors. Is this the reason she has accepted this role? In the original manhwa this is really a minor role, unless of course the writer/director will make big changes to the plot to add more romance. But that would alienate the anime fans, like what’s happened to Omniscient View Reader Live Action. She is great in action roles, but somehow I feel that her image is a bit too sophisticated and mature for this particular role.

    • No, I think sophistication is exactly what Cha Haein embodies so I feel Han Sohee is perfect for the role. I’m actually starting to get excited for this as a huge fan of the manhwa

    • I don’t think she picked this character because she loss her status. She surely picked because this is from Netflix and the character is suit with her. This is not Chinese drama where they care so much about who is the first billing.

  2. Netflex is mainly targeting the international market. The management or whoever made this casting decision perhaps has no inkling of or doesn’t care about her love affairs off screen. The girl is still marketable in their eyes. LOL at all the busybodies’ ruckus about her private life. It appears now to be much ado about nothing.

  3. Ugh, not a fan of this casting. This production just lost my interest. I don’t understand her popularity AT ALL. I usually stay away from whatever she’s in. I love Solo Leveling and I was debating on whether the live action would be worth watching but with HSH…I can now skip it. Thanks for making my decision easy. For those who are fans of her, more power to you, and I hope it is enjoyable for you.

  4. I like her acting and to be honest I am sure most actors and actress do not have picture perfect personality. Save the hate for the real murderers, rapists etc

  5. Solo Leveling doesn’t need an adaptation with actors. The anime was really good.

Solo Leveling’s romance is super weak. Writing romance with this kind of ML is useless. Annoucing who will play her, it’s not a big news, she doesn’t have a big role.
