Wuxia C-drama The One Looks to Have Final Cast of Wu Lei, Vanda Margraf, and Chang Chen
This drama has been linked to actor Wu Lei for close to a year and now there is credible word that it’s finalized/finalizing the cast with an eye towards filming commencement. The drama is titled The One (Chinese title Jian Lai or Sword Comes) and is a classic wuxia swordsman epic. Joining Wu Lei will be Vanda Margraf as the female lead and a very big name second male lead in Taiwanese actor Chang Chen. I also like the supporting female leads mentioned in Yang Xi Zi and Li Meng. Wu Lei has taken a good two years off from C-drama land and I can’t wait for his return and in a promising project like this one.
Her eyebrown really standout. German-Chinese, will be great to see a new face in dramaland. Yang Xi Zi is a popular upcoming actress. Chang Chen is strong actor. This casting is very interesting. Hope all goes well, script well written and produced plus good editing.
As long as it’s not Chen Kun. I won’t watch his shows.
What’s with Chen Kun? Genuinely curious, no shade. Lol. I thought he’s known to be a good actor? But recently it seems like he less well liked? I am just wondering how the tide has changed, or was he always disliked?
Chen Kun and Wu Lei have a near 20 year age gap. Why would he even be considered in this? Lmao.

She is crazy connected, so no wonder she is being given a lead role. Capital rules in Chinese entertainment, not talent.
I do wonder if the recent discoveries about her grandfather will make a difference. Probably not IMO.
