Fox Spirit Matchmaker Third Installment Sword and Beloved with Cheng Yi and Li Yi Tong Gets Final Broadcast Approval and Changes Chinese Drama Title
So I think this drama will still have the same English title of Sword and Beloved, but like the second installment is changing the Chinese title to get away from the flop of the first installment IP world. The Fox Spirit Matchmaker drama adaptation series is coming to an end soon as the third chapter titled the Wang Chuan chapter (王权篇) just got final broadcast approval. With it the official Chinese title is now Tian Di Jian Xin (天地剑心), similar to how the second chapter the Zhu Ye chapter titled Love in Pavilion changed its Chinese title to Huai Shui Zhu Ting (淮水竹亭). This means iQiyi may schedule this drama to air before year end or even earlier, but perhaps a break from male lead Cheng Yi‘s last drama The Journey of Legend which aired last month and is considered a disappointment in viewership and a low 5.9 Douban rating. I’m checked out from this series after the flop of Red Moon Pact but for those still invested perhaps sooner is better to get the whole story finished up.

Yeah it is going to air soon because this trash of a human being is back to attacking people, trying to hype himself up after the disaster of the previous drama.
Lowest of the low, him and his agency.
After the last disappointing drama with Cheng Yi, I will wait and see before watching it…
That’s not really fair. It’s just one drama that turned out bad, Cheng Yi still tends to pick good projects. I’d be more worried just because the fox spirit series have been so bad.
Just one drama? Cheng Yi fans are so brainwashed. He has had several recent flops. Check his Yunhe scores if you don’t believe me.
@foulthings Lmao what’s unfair about waiting and seeing reviews on whether a drama is good before watching? Is it because you already know the drama turns out bad and won’t be able to attract viewers based on non-fan non-water reviews?
@foulthings, for me personally, I rather wait and see… I dont want to cancel Cheng Yi has I have always been supportive of his works having enjoyed 3 of his works. So I rather manage my expectations.
Red Pavilion is flopped too
I gather some CCP higher up might have been doing money laundering through this guy’s drama. S+ production my a$$ LOL. Where was the money gone with that production of such low quality?
The crazy flood of bots happening right now on Weibo, all working for Cheng Yi as his water armies is really the most massive flood I have seen in recent years.
Combined with paid articles, it is a crazy attempt at manipulation of the audience. Even though they say they will do something, the Chinese government never does because corruption is very much alive there. It is so disgusting.
