This new year 2026 is off to new C-dramas kicking off filming that I am looking forward to. This one is a mixed bag from the casting alone but I will hope for the best. Tencent period C-drama The Road to Glory (Chinese title 归鸾 Gui Luan) will star Zhang Ling He and Lin Yun (Jelly Lin) as the leads and this week started filming. I’m glad he’s getting a big top billed project but she’s such a mid actress, she doesn’t actively annoy me but I have yet to be impressed with her onscreen in any role. It looks like she’s the best the production could get for him lol so I hope the story is good and the directing solid because that has also helped me watch entire dramas when there is one of the two leads I’m just meh about. The concept posters are out to give a taste for the visuals of the two leads in character.
