The perpetual train engine that is C-drama productions keep trudging along and recently I spotted first stills and pictures for one that I’m mildly curious to check out. The C-drama is titled Genius Girlfriend and is a modern romance starring Tian Xi Wei and Hu Yi Tian. It’s an odd pairing but could be in a good way, she’s so expressive and sparkly and he’s so wooden and stiff haha, this could be a fun opposites create unexpected chemistry onscreen result. Tian Xi Wei has a few C-dramas on deck this year that if it does well could give her another level up boost while Hu Yi Tian will be using this drama as a return to the small screen after nearly three years of not filming a new C-drama.
