What a fun, fresh, and creative promotional concept coming out of cable network tvN for its upcoming drama Manny. The teaser trailer is out, and (1) it’s totally a teaser, since you barely glimpse lead Seo Ji Seok, and (2) it’s done guerilla advertising style by asking people on the street if they know what a “manny” is – the entire premise is ridiculously low-budget yet charmingly off-kilter. Now why can’t the big behemoth networks be this creative and do something different that makes the viewer actually sit up and notice? Oh right, it’s because they are all run by douchebags. *is still bitter about SBS screwing over Poseidon and What’s Up*
Teaser for Manny:
I love how the teaser shows manny Suh Ji Seok walking through the airport and being photographed like he was some superstar idol. The meta-cuteness is off the charts. Manny premieres on April 13, 2011, and I am so excited.
It is a cute teaser. Now I want to watch it.
OMGGGGG the 13th can’t get here fast enough!!!
I have never seen this guy before…..he is not “pretty” like other actors…but..wow….he is VERY appealing & attractive! The whole concept of Manny sounds like a lot of fun….can’t wait for the series to get started…..I am so hoping that you recap it Koala!
Arrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh I hate end-of-semester projects!! Curses to you, Chinese Government and Politics! And you too, Cold War in Asia!
13th. 13th. OK I’ve marked my calendar. Just the name Manny is enough lure me. They really don’t need to pull in the guns and You with that hot sexy tie untying hot manthing! *DROOLZ*
I’m watching this for sure. I need some fluff. I’m still drowning in manpain here.
BTW, the ad compain was really cute, imo.
Only one week left 😀
Hope you recap..Manny, Ockoala!!! It being a cable drama…for sure the English subs’ is gonna be real slow….huhuhuhu!!!
teaser was so awesome. loved it.
does anyone know where I can download cable shows like this one? it’s not in the big three cable networks, so i was just curious….
really excited about this one…it honestly sounds a lot better than the Song Yuri drama, “Romance Town” formally called “Maids”…plus I love both leads…they’re not the most well-known but they’re both real charming actors.
Can NOT wait. How do you say that in Korean? I’ll looj it up later.
but seriously! AHHHHHHH
When theres a nanny involved, and the genre just happen to be romance and comedy…well it can not get any better for me. I mean, I dont know any of the actors in here at all, but i’m seriously wanting a good nanny show. I watch the nanny (american one with Fran drescher A.K.A Fran Fine) morning, noon and night. It was a comfort show growing up, so I stick to it….now i feel weird
