The Cast of Athena Reunite in Japan for DVD Release Concert

Athena: Goddess of War really is this undead zombie that won’t leave my consciousness. After seeing all the main leads move on to other more sane drama projects since they did Athena, most of the cast and crew reunited this week in Saitama, Japan for a press conference to promote the Japanese release of the Athena DVD. I love Jung Woo Sung, Cha Seung Won, Su Ae, and Kim Min Jong. But someone will need to pay me money to willingly own that DVD in my house. My I lub you and Lee Ji Ah were the only two cast members absent, the former due to his current schedule filming Padam Padam, and the latter likely just laying low, especially since this was the drama that preceded all the scandal. Choi Siwon didn’t just show up, he brought all his Super Junior mates along for the show. One thing Athena did well was have a rocking OST, and the Taeyeon (of SNSD) ballad “I Love You” was my favorite drama song last year. Tayeon, SuJu, and Shinee all performed at the concert, but I’m not sure I support drumming up interest in any way for this turd of a drama. Even if I love seeing everyone gathered together because of it.

  1. Haha. I tried so hard to forget that drama ever existed it worked. I can’t remember exactly how bad it was. 😀
The only good thing about this promotional concert is getting lots of pretty together, and the sapphire blue sea. ^^

  2. I checked in to Athena just to watch Kim So Yeon’s cameo. HAHA

But the cast is amazing. It’s actually an accomplishment that the producers (or someone else…) were able to mess it up royally even with a cast like this.

Telling Siwon not to show his abs was the final straw.
