Written Preview for Episode 7 of In A Good Way — 15 Comments

  1. BIG FAT GRIN.

I love the last line. Thank you so much 🙂

^-^ Now I can get back to my post Christmas celebrations and wake up nice and early tomorrow to watch ep 7. YAY!!!!

  2. did you just say jia en finally knows who 3631 is? it’s about time the story moved along a bit more. after episode 3, i felt like the drama took a step back in terms of storyline development and only offered a tiny character development. I must say, I am starting to love Ren Wei and the sweet things he says to Jia En to support her. I really enjoy watching their loving, platonic relationship. Reminds me of back in the days when friendship between a man and a woman can really be that sweet and innocent.

  3. I know that the development is slower than expected. I mean, at this rate, when r we getting some smooches and marriage? In the synopsis, it says jiaen returned to a reunion in 2005 as a mature lady, so does she end up with liu chuan, I hope it’s not an open ended one.

  4. thank you Koala! i’m so excited!!! ^^ i’m so curious about what Liu Chuan will do when Jia En puts her arm around his neck while asleep. He probably won’t remove her arm and just stare at her and fall asleep with a smile ^_~…hehehehee! hope so!

  5. The 3631 conflict’s kind of fun, but I hope they’ll move on soon so we’ll get to see some more interesting developments take place.
I personally don’t mind that the story’s still set in the 90s, but I’m afraid they’ll use that as an excuse to go around in circles with all kinds of filler scenes :/

  6. I agree with you that the events might seem “tame and hokey” to today’s students, but what I have found teaching today’s college students is that plenty of them really want to do “tame and hokey” things. I have chaperoned my fair share of off campus retreats, and the students really like the bonding over campfires and ice breaking games. I had one guy confess that he was relieved that he didn’t have to act like some macho/athlete/drinker guy when he was with our group and knew that the people liked him for who he really was. In a Good Way gets the vibe of college life and the really figuring out who you are and the friends who are going to like that person.

  7. Some Thoughts:

I know lots of people these days that having relationships with opposite gender over two decades and Jia En and Ren Wei proves unlike Kdramas that this kind of relationships can do just fine like any other friendship. I love their interaction and I hope to see more cute BFF moments.

I LOVE Tracy. LOVE her! She fierce and open minded and beauty and sassy in a good terms. I love the writers for creating character who’s confident enough without being mean. OH! I can see why A-Qing falling for her (omg! he’s so good looking!)

One of the reasons why I love IAGW is the realism. I don’t mind about the end and also don’t mind if ALL the couples won’t end up together, cause let’s be honest, how many couples you actually know that married with their FIRST sweethearts? But I do care to understand what lead them from point A to point B. So, give me the full story before I’ll make up my mind.

    4 hours to go! YAY!

  8. Thanks for the Ep 7 written preview! I can’t wait to watch tonight’s episode. It’s a long time since I’ve enjoyed a youth drama so much, from any country.

Btw, where did you get the written preview? Is it from a news article?

Anyone knows where I can watch Ep 7 live?

    • It has the same theme of nostalgia but is very different in execution, especially from Answer 1994. That series lost its way with the stupid pointless “husband” game that generated such ugly shipping wars while the writers continued to try to show how clever they were by dragging out the “mystery” well past its use by date. IAGW feels much better, and I think it shows what AM1994 COULD have been. Answer Me 1997 was a brilliant series but IAGW is nearly as good for me, and definitely better than 1994.
