Song Joong Ki Starts Filming K-movie Battleship Island with Hwang Jung Min and So Ji Sub — 12 Comments

  1. I wonder if they are permitted to film on the island, regarding the subject I’d say the Japanese government would say no.
But it would be amazing if they did.
They have filmed other movies there, Attack on titan and a scene from the previous Bond movie was filmed there.

    • They’re not filming on the island. They’re building a separate set in Chuncheon, on what used to be a huge camp base for the US army. Re-production will be critical to the success of the film, but director Ryoo’s been prepping for this forever (a lifelong dream and now a personal mission) and I hope he finds success.

  2. Hwang Jung Min is having a strick of hits, I’m expecting this to be just as successful or more than his previous projects. Like he alone can make amovie successful, add in So Ji Sub *nose bleed* and Korea’s heartthrob of the moment Song Joong Ki. Man, that’s some eye candy.

  3. Song Joong Ki always has a keen mind in choosing his projects, being aware of how his costars and directors are pivotal to his successful career. I’m not gonna watch this movie simply bcos the genre is not my cup of tea. I’ll wait for his comeback to small screen and I’m sure that won’t take long since he’s been talking about his possible new drama in interviews recently. Either thriller or really really sad melo romance.

    • Thanks to this upcoming movie. Song joong ki no longer filmed in Descendant of the sun 2. I just wish he would star again on DOTS 2. but noo he was busy filming this movie. Such a disappointment.

  4. I’m so happy to finally see him back on the big screen. I hope this movie is going to be good. I know SJK will be no matter what. 😀

  5. For anyone who thinks So Ji Sub, is a nosebleed, AKA difficult person, you are looking at him all wrong and just maybe you are wearing dark blinders. Not one else in that group has his animal magnetism!
