Kim So Yeon, Shin Eun Kyung, and Oh Man Seok Also Join Star-packed Cast of SBS Drama Penthouse
Dang, is everyone and their mothers going to be in this drama? Normally when new main lead caliber names are added to a drama casting it means prior rumored leads have declined but for SBS drama Penthouse it’s turning into a circus car because four new names have just appeared and it’s in addition to and not lieu of. Shin Eun Kyung, Kim So Yeon, Oh Man Seok, and rising actor Kang Tae Oh who was second lead in The Tale of Nokdu are all moving into the Penthouse it seems. They would join already named leads Eugene, Shin Sung Rok, Lee Ji Ah, and Bong Tae Gyu. Other than promising Kang Tae Ah every other name in this list could and have headlined dramas of their own so this is a wild main cast. This is such fun casting weirdness and makes Penthouse interesting on that alone.
Ooh..Shin eun kyung..She is an awesome actress….The fact that she is joining when she is a lead as well as the other named actors/actress could lead their own dramas.
I hope this casting is real and they all confirm. I’m pretty sure the drama will give me trust issues. I mean look at previous kdrama villains in talks to join: Shin Sung Rok, Oh Man Seok, Shin Eun Kyung, Bong Tae Gyu. I won’t know who to trust with so many poker faces in a drama. Lol
Ad Kim So Yeon on the list. She will play a villainess again after 20 years. Her Young Mi is still hated till today. LOL.
I still don’t understand how Last Empress could have so much success and how people loved Shin Sung Rok’s character…
So if the writer follow her last drama, I think I will pass it.
I never liked any of this writer drama. I dropped the only drama I try, The Last Empress. But I want to see Kim So yeon on screen again. From what I read, she will play the villainess. I must be unlucky that it seems to watch genres I don`t like. And they try to film this drama in two seasons.
I wish them succes since the cast will work hard no matter how crazy it will be.
I think, the trio above will be the villain.. lols. Kim so yeon… she was amazing as a villain and of course as a protagonist.
Totally agree with Sayaris.. i dont understand why many people loved SSR’s character in the last empress either. I dropped it since ep 2. But watched it sometimes when it was airing on tv. But definitely not my fave. And i hate JNR’s character in that drama but loved her in VIP.
