Ro Woon and Won Jin Ah Start Filming jTBC Drama Sunbae, Please Don’t Put on That Lipstick

I haven’t read the source material but I am wondering whether the title is literal and what the male lead has against the titular liptsick. Script reading has taken place and filming commenced for upcoming jTBC drama adaptation of manhwa Sunbae, Please Don’t Put on That Lipstick. Initially Jang Dong Yoon was offered the male lead but he picked horror thriller OCN drama Search instead so now we get equally pretty boy Ro Woon as the male lead. I’m getting Why Secretary Kim vibes from the manhwa drawing style and that drama adaptation managed to make a girly manhwa story into a sweet and substantive live action thanks to the chemistry of the leads. Here Ro Woon will be romancing his office superior and noona character played by Won Jin Ah and I don’t know how their chemistry will be because Ro Woon is still new to acting and Won Jin Ah is hit-and-miss with her roles. The drama will be pre-produced with a scheduled premiere in early 2021.

  1. Personally, I hoped Rowoon wouldn’t have taken this role because after Extraordinary You, it’s again a webtoon adaptation, I wanted something completely different for him. But he had a good chemistry with Han Seung Yeon in About Time and it was a noona romance too but he was more like a puppy in this one.

I didn’t like Won Jin Ah in Melting Me Softly but in her others roles she was good.

I liked the last drama of this PD too.

      • and you say this based on one drama where the plot line was so thin it was barely visible? mms was The curse not won jin ah. no actress/actor could have saved it. it was doomed from the beginning. even jcw himself could not save that shitfest.

  2. This thought suddenly came to me… I wonder if Seo Yea Ji (or is it Seo Ye Ji) would have been a good choice for this noona romance drama. She’s solid in acting, charisma and visuals…. and seems really adaptable in matching her co-stars. However, she’s now moved to a higher league… so this drama wouldn’t have been offered to her. Anyway… it’s too late and let’s hope for the best.
