K-actor Park Hyung Sik is recently out of the army and he’s already got not one but two dramas lined up. K-ent is reporting that he’s in talks as the male lead of upcoming tvN drama Happiness, which has already cast Han Hyo Joo as the female lead and character actor Jo Woo Jin as the second male lead. It’s being described as a city thriller intrigue story about a world that has entered a new normal after a pandemic and surrounds the people living in a high rise where the top floors are sold to rich people and the lower floors leased to the average folks. It deals with the psychological struggles between the wealth classes and Park Hyung Sik’s male lead if a former baseball player who leaves the game after an injury and finds a new path with the help of the female lead. The two are former classmates and friends, and in the beginning of the drama also pretending to be a married couple. The drama is from the PD of Secret Forest, Record of Youth, Rooftop Prince, and Memories of Alhambra with the screenwriter of Watcher. The drama is scheduled to film next month in May. He’s also planning to do a sageuk drama next which was originally the K-drama adaptation of The Golden Hairpin but due to all the K-netizen hatred of anything Chinese investment or product related it will now be an original sageuk script.
