This couple appearance in a public event would have made more waves but for all of TW-ent waiting for the fireworks to start 10 days from now when Korean singer DJ Koo leaves quarantine to go pick up his new wife Barbie Hsu and maybe encounter Barbie’s enraged mom with a raised pan waiting outside her apartment. Yes, TW-ent does have wild romance (and divorce) tales and Annie Chen and George Hu was one of the surprise not so surprises. They starred in two hit dramas together nearly 10 years ago and was rumored to be dating shortly thereafter but the rumors died down after the two didn’t respond because like all things the public has a short attention span. It turned out they were dating and after all these years George popped the question around lunar new year and now the couple is planning a wedding. They were at the Cartier store event in Taipei this week in a perfect synergy of putting a real life couple who is probably looking at wedding rings at one of the top jewelers in the world with plenty of selection. I love Annie’s green cut out dress and red heels combo, so bright and lovely, and George complements her nicely with his tan and white casual suited look. The giant Juste Un Clou he’s wearing on his wrist did take me for a loop, like who that thought increasing that design’s size was a good idea to make it look like an actual shackle.
