Kim Sae Ron Revealed to Have Personally Apologized to and Compensated the Businesses Affected by the Electricity Shutdown After Her Drunk Driving Destruction of a Street Transformer Box

I think this news should be taken at face value, it’s neither something to applaud but also not something to read into anymore as future planning. K-actress Kim Sae Ron has been living the legal and public consequences for the past month of her May 2022 drunk driving accident. She plowed into a transformer box on the sidewalk at 8 in the morning in her SUV, destroying the box and taking out electricity in that sector of the neighborhood connected to it. Her BAC level after a hospital blood test was over the legal limit but from the street cameras it was clear she was wasted the way her car veered and swerved. She has accepted all consequences, apologized in a handwritten statement, and has been removed from dramas she was yet to film and may likely be reduced to cut from the ones that have been filmed but not yet aired. This week it was revealed that she personally went to apologize to each business affected by the electricity outage and is also nearly done financially compensating the businesses. That’s the right thing to do and if she plans to one day comeback is the only thing that can start setting the stage for K-netz to accept her as a public figure down the line.

  2. So she has done what she has to do…no big deal…she should not even have drink drive… I have still not gotten over the shock, this actress I have watch since she was a child had grown into such a reckless young woman. very unfortunate.

  3. Everyone makes mistakes in life, and this was a very serious one. She is extremely fortunate the only damage was to property and could be covered with financial compensation.

Rather than condemn her for all time because of one serious error, I hope that she learns from what happened and reassesses the role of alcohol in her life going forward.
