Confidential Assignment 2 Drops Legit Cheese-tastic and Awful Official Movie Posters in a Rarity for a High Profile Movie

I mean, this movie is high profile, no? A sequel to a box office hit original and starring three movie star male leads and another movie star lead as the baddie and toss in an idol-actress for eye candy, it’s basically a box office guarantee. This is the kind of movie audiences will flock to because it signals action entertainment without a lot of brain hurt-y thinking involved. And yet Confidential Assignment 2 just can’t even try at least with its movie posters. WTF is the monstrosity above, with Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, and Daniel Henney model slow walking away from a burning building that clearly they caused but everyone clap because they vanquished the baddies by doing it! It’s cribbing Backdraft but without the story being ALL ABOUT FIRES. Other than Daniel’s FBI bulletproof vest there is no indication this is a tri-partite cooperation between North Korea, South Korea, and the US law enforcement, just three cool dudes walking away from millions in property damage. And don’t get me started on the even lamer second poster below. I’ve run out of the ability to describe how bad it looks. That Binnie looks checked out in that one is the only redeeming feature.

  1. I’m here just to drool over Binnie and Daniel Henney. Lol. Is this movie meant to be a comedy as well? My best description of the 2nd pic is photo booth polaroid shots currently popular in SK. Making exaggerated poses with oversized sunglasses and tacky accessories.

    • Looks like Binnie and Daniel Henney will be competing who makes the most intense but hot scowl while shooting up bad guys and blowing stuff up. The low-effort posters are hilarious.
