Take this with the usual grain of melon salt but this week a C-ent article is raising the possibility of the long awaited reunion of fan favorite onscreen leads Allen Ren and Tan Song Yun in a new drama. It’s from the writer Mo Bao Fei Bao of the novel behind One and Only and if the leads accept will mark their first reunion since hit drama Under the Power catapulted both to new heights of popularity. For Allen the first step was The Glory of the Tang Dynasty, then a big step forward with Under the Power, cemented with One and Only and Forever and Ever. Tan Song Yun broke out with Power then did Go Ahead and The Sword and Brocade. C-fans have been clamoring for their second go ahead since Power aired in 2019 and there have been rumored dramas but non panned out. Imma wait and see on this one as well.
Which Mo Bao Fei Bao novel? Tan Song Yun did Gui Xiao in Road Home, which Im hoping will air next year. Its in my anticipated list. So far TSY hasnt reunite in any of her costars if I rem correctly.

IMO- he had the best chemistry with tan son Yun, but the best kiss had to be the glory of the tang dynasty. The girl really knew how to kiss by parting her lips slightly to receive his lips, a real kiss. The rest of the kisses in other dramas are lame by comparison.
I also read his 2 dramas are in the top 3 of the most anticipated 2023 dramas. Good for him. I hope it won’t suck. cdrama is much better than kdrama nowadays. I regretted watching the little women seriously what the hell was that! i hate the ending.

She did have much much much more chemistry with him than any of his other leading ladies. Lol. I feel like it’s a testament to her acting and willingness to become her character vs. just looking good onscreen like other actresses. It balanced him just looking nice onscreen. Lol. Although, he actually smiled in that drama and showed other emotions different from broody. I’m up for another round for them!
I loved Under the Power, partly because of the great chemistry they had. And they could both act, especially Tan Song-yun, whom I find sort of magnetic to watch. I do think that Allen Ren’s real voice is not suitable for historicals, but the dubbing was well-chosen in Under the Power.
I really liked how the drama cast actors who didn’t look like trendy models. Tan Song-yun and Allen Ren have the cute, petite look (even though he isn’t that short either…he’s just slightly shorter than the beanpoles they have now).
How wonderful would that be, in my opinion Tan Songyun is the best actress of her time💖 I love her acting skills going through my mind and soul. She is like a real story in one and every role she portrays. More so of how lucky I’m able to know her and watch her movies and dramas. Cheering this cute and beautiful girl. Bless your career TSY.

Allen ren is not a typical Asian actor, he is married and has a child. he is also not as tall as many other action heroes, which sometimes, make him look inferior next to his other co-stars, and yet he is always in demand with a huge fanbase which is quite rare, and speak volume about his multi-talents, looking forward to his drama with angelababy.
This is breaking my heart bc we’ve been getting multiple drama rumors of these two the past 2 years and still nothing! The fact that it’s just rumors and probs won’t happen is not good for my yixia fufu heart lol but regardless, i am happy that there’s still drama rumors of these two bc one day, one of them will be true hahaha it’ll be great to see them both reunite and onscreen again. they really had the best chemistry together. it would be great if it’s a modern drama. the rumored drama sounds so depressing, debating if i even want to read it lol but it’s short too at 14 chapters, so if it becomes a drama then it’ll be a short drama. Like, maybe 24? 36? idk. But rumors still means a good thing so it’s gucci ahhaha
I love UNDER THE POWER drama and the actor AlLen and TSY both of them are great and they have this power chemistry in this drama.
I would love to see both of them again in another exciting historical drama..
