Korean Stage Adaptation of Shakespeare in Love Releases Six Gorgeous Character Posters with Three Sets of Top Star Leads
So January 2023 and after if you’re visiting South Korea or live there I think it’s a can’t miss appointment with the stage performance of Shakespeare in Love. I’m a huge theater fan and this one has a really well-written story and three sets of talented star leads trading off the roles. The pair ups will be Kim Yoo Jung with Kim Sung Cheol, Jung So Min and Lee Sang Yi, and Chae Soo Bin with Jung Moon Sung. The three male leads are all musical theater trained before going into dramas and movies and the three female leads each over a decade and more of onscreen acting under their belts and this will definitely be a great new challenge for each. The just released character posters are soooooooo pretty, I’m just swooning over the visuals.
They look stunning! 🤩 I wish I can go see them even tho I don’t understand Korean.
So pretty!! Someone needs to give the makeup artists, costumers, photographers, and the poster designers a raise!
It’s a play, the pairing will be mixed up, they will take turns playing the role. The poster is ordered according to their age Jung Moon-sung with Jung So-min, Lee Sang-yi with Chae Soo-bin, and Kim Sung-chul with Kim Yoo-jung. But I wonder if KYJ will be paired with JMS since it’s a romance play and their age difference is quite huge
The leading ladies’ dresses are designed and crafted by Le Dénicheur, a Korean label specialized in formal wear and wedding dresses. The brand was also the creative mind behind some of IU’s dresses in “Hotel del Luna”, Han Sohee’s gowns in the live-action trailer of the webtoon “The Villainess Is a Marionette”, and they’re also very sought by singers.
This is so exciting! I wish I lived in S. Korea so I’d be able to see all 3 pairings 😢
I think Chae Soo-Bin acted in plays before too.
Omg some of my favourite actors who can act and sing so well. Ok I knew them first for their singing. I am so envious now.
Looking great, but not a fan of SIL , overrated movie and performances. I prefer “Stage Beauty” but i’m more into classical theater ( Wilde, the great Will, Molière, Marivaux, Musset,…)
