Legend of Anle with Dilraba Dilmurat and Gong Jung Hits 2 Million Reservations on Youku with Murmurings of March 2023 Airing

I’m going to chalk this up to the power of Dilraba Dilmurat‘s popularity moreso than her male lead Gong Jun but C-ent fandom experts can chime in otherwise. Period C-drama The Legend of Anle (An Le Zhuan) recently hit 2 million viewer reservations on Youku and the production celebrated with new stills from the drama of the two leads. Usually 1 million reservations is a big deal so 2 million is legit an achievement, though of course if a drama languishes too long on the to-air status then it could keep racking up reservations from interested viewers. This drama was filming in the second half of 2021 and reportedly was all done with post production by early 2022 so it’s taking awhile to air for sure. I’m still iffy on the pairing of these two, from the stills and the official trailer it just feels like each is acting in their own separate dramas and stitched together.

  1. I don’t know the guy; Dilmurat I have only watched in the Long Ballad and I thought she was mediocre at best there. So I am certainly not looking forward to this, but if you guys tell me it’s good, I will take a look!

    • He is a terrible actor, way worse than her. He also loses any visuals he has the second he laughs.

Acting is not something you look for with these two. I guess unless you are looking for laughs. Then it works.

  2. Have never really seen anything of Gong Jun’s although I’ve seen images of him floating around. While I’m not necessarily a fan of Dilraba either, I do enjoy historical dramas and I did like her in The Long Ballad alongside my fav actor so I will most likely check this out when it airs.

  3. Definitely will be very beautiful to watch. And I have high hopes on the director of Word of Honor. Looking forward to this drama.

  4. I don’t know how you see they are acting in their own dramas from the trailers because from what I see they don’t tell anything. Dilraba was good in the limited snippets, whereas for Gong you can see BL drama influences (feminine gestures for lack of a better description). I will watch for the visuals though.

  5. The story seems to be full of angst and old school, still i enjoyed WOH and TLB and like both actors so looking forwards to it. Hopefully it’ll have great broadcast timing and ost too ^^

  7. Hoping it’ll air soon, I’m a LYN (2ML) fan so I’m more interested to see if he’s improved on his acting, hahaha. Going from his livestreams, he said he finished self-dubbing at the end of Dec 2022 so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for March then!
