Kim Tae Ri is Joined by The Glory’s Shin Ye Eun and Kim Hi Eora in 1950’s Female Empowerment Period Drama Jung Nyeon

So top actress Kim Tae Ri is first going to scare our socks off in her next drama Demon airing on SBS, but then after she’s going all old school rah rah female empowerment angle with the period drama Jung Nyeon. It sounds like a bigger female supporting cast will be assembled and the first two joining her are Shin Ye Eun and Kim Hi Eora, both memorable in young and adult roles of the bullies in The Glory. Kim Tae Ri plays the titular Jung Nyeon, an uneducated woman from the countryside who dreams of success and with her great voice joins a female singing troupe. This sounds right up awards alley lol but also primed for some strong heart warming vibes.

  1. This drama sounds like it’s going to have a female-focused cast, I’m excited for it! The last kdrama I watched was Mr Sunshine in 2018, Kim Taeri is so magnetic onscreen and really suits sageuk looks. She has that natural vibe that makes it even more believable.

  2. Sounds fun because this is like a Twenty-Five, Twenty-One x The Glory crossover with Na Hee Do, young Park Yeon Jin, and young Lee Sa Ra in the cast. I hope Netflix picks this up.
