It’s been that long, huh? And yet it also feels like a flash of time. This June 30th was the 13th year of the passing of K-actor Park Yong Ha, a leading man with over a decade of acting under his belt and many famous performances and dramas on his resume. His passing was one of THE most shocking and completely out of nowhere tragedies in a K-ent filled with many tragedies then and now. His last drama of Story of a Man (Slingshot) and he was scheduled for Love Story when he passed. He rocketed to superstardom in Hallyu thanks to his second male lead role in Winter Sonata but my favorite was his performance in the excellent four-some ensemble that is the underrated On Air. This one still hurts.
Rip, may you be at peace.
Ironically … he was aging like fine wine.
I quite disliked his role in Winter Sonata, preferred him as a singer (his theme song for LBH-SHG drama All In ( Just Like the First Time ) still rocks each time I hear it.
But was totally surprised at his delivery in On Air – LOVED the role and his delivery. Was looking forward to more.

13 years already, I miss him , he was a good actor ( A man’s story, On air,…) at that time i was so happy because he was about to work with Yoon Eun hye for a new drama …and all i still remember is a So Ji Sub devasted . So sad .
I love On Air as well.
If his suicide were really related to finance problems as rumored, it was very sad because money problem can be solved as opposed to other emotional or health traumas. Very sad because he could be a very charismatic actor.
