C-ent Buzz Claims The Longest Promise with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min Will Get Airdropped Premiere on July 2nd

So all week I’ve been hearing word that xianxia C-drama The Longest Promise will be airing soon. And soon became an actual date of July 2nd and now word is the official confirmation will come in the early afternoon that day before the first six episodes drops that night at 8 p.m. In China this is like a day away so let’s wait and see. Airdrops happen enough that it’s no longer weird and most recently Twilight with Angelababy and Allen Ren fell from the sky last week without warning, but The Longest Promise is a BIG deal thanks to starring Xiao Zhan and I cannot believe it would air without promos and hyping it up (even more). Not sure if there is a sudden opening C-government permitting and everyone wants to squeeze in now before it’s suddenly revoked.

  1. I’ve been reading the original novel but just watched some trailers. TLP OTP look exactly as I expected and seem perfectly fitting the characters in the novel. I read some negative comments about the FL’s looks. But the actress looks pretty enough to be the heroine. In the book, Zhu Yen, the heroine actually isn’t the most beautiful one among all. There’re also many good actors in the cast as supporting roles, who already starred in other dramas as main leads. I have great anticipation of this series. After wrapping up The Youth Memories, I’ve been waiting for other dramas of Xiao Zhan to premiere. C dramas start to treat me well this year. So exciting!
