After a few year’s hiatus, C-actress Wu Jin Yan is back with C-drama The Double that is also produced by Yu Zheng so she really is tied at the hip with him after he made her super popular with Story of Yanxi Palace but couldn’t really sustain that in follow up projects. The male lead is Wang Xing Yue and looking at the cast it feels like Yu Zheng is trying to make up and coming stars happen again. I cannot stand any of his dramas but he has an eye for crafting hits but I always found his visuals weird and here the character posters do nothing to convey what this drama is about or what the characters are supposed to be/feel other than just there.
The film adaptation of Marriage of Di Daughter is clearly about the leading male being older than the leading female. But here Wu Jin Yan is 12 years older than her male co star, Wang Xing Yue. He is a good and gifted actor at 21 years old. But this is not reflective of the novel. Nevertheless, Wu Jin Yan looks young…
Anyway I hope the drama will turn out well coz the author is very good. Maybe I won’t watch the ending coz of Yu Zheng … if you know what I mean

I really cannot say if I really hate Yu Zheng…I actually find him not likeable but not “hateable”. I enjoy some of his productions very very much and dislike some very much too. I do admire how he really wants to give opportunity to newbies in good dramas. He is a rather loud mouth guy but he speaks his mind. I am looking forward to this…I hope it will not disappoint.
At least she’s got some color to her face this time. In her last drama, Royal Feast, she looked sooooo pale. I thought she was going to faint any moment.
WJY looks pretty here. I liked her character in SOY but I thought she looked very unattractive in that lakorn. It was just the way they styled her which made her look bad but here, I find her pretty.
