Cha Eun Woo’s Steamy Kissing Ability in Episode 9 of A Good Day to be a Dog Makes the News

I’m so amused by the K-media on one hand denigrating Cha Eun Woo for still being not a good (enough) actor but on the other hand finding his kissing skillz more than good enough to write about. In all seriousness, it’s even making the news because as an idol he’s actually going full kissing (tongue and all) in the latest episode 9 of A Good Day to be a Dog which the media is noting is rare since idols are usually maintaining the image of the perfect dude for their fandom. I think every idol who becomes an actor has to shed the inhabitations and reservations about whatever the role requires and this one means heavy French kissing in a closet. The article was more about how lucky Park Kyu Young is haha. Word.

Cha Eun Woo’s Steamy Kissing Ability in Episode 9 of A Good Day to be a Dog Makes the News — 10 Comments

  1. I’m glad he’s been practicing with somebody on his kissing skills, at least. Hopefully he will branch out to practice on other acting skills as well. Good for him to immerse himself in his role!

    • His acting is actually good though. He might not be Jo In Sung level yet but who is? He’s a solid actor – at least in the romances I’ve watched him in. I didn’t see Island yet so I can’t speak on that. Anyway, improvement takes time and he’ll get even better with more opportunities. I enjoy his shows, not just for his looks, but for how he portrays his characters, not sure why people think putting him down is going to help him improve either.

      • Here we go again with the “putting him down” lol who is putting him down? He’s getting more lead role opportunities than more talented actors will ever get in their entire career, all because he’s handsome and popular. People are rightfully criticizing him for his acting because news flash, acting is a job. Regular people get criticized when they don’t do well in their jobs, why should he get special treatment? You fangirls are hilarious.

Criticism ≠ hating/putting down. What is so hard to understand for you all? Also, stop acting like he’s a good actor. It’s a cap and you know it. You know who else aren’t in Jo In Sung level? Park Bo Gum, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Do Hyun, and many more. But no one’s criticizing them for their acting because no one is saying every young actor should already be in Jo In Sung level, people just want them to be at least good actors, which Cha Eun Woo isn’t. Just accept that your oppa still has a long way to go and the criticisms will (hopefully) help him. Look at Suzy, she was often criticized and she used that as motivation to improve and now she just got her first Baeksang Best Actress nomination just recently. Of course Cha Eun Woo will be more scrutinized since he’s getting and accepting lead roles that should’ve gone to more talented actors lol. If he doesn’t want the criticism, take supporting roles first and improve along the way, just like other idol-actors who are now excellent actors such as Do Kyung Soo, Park Hyung Sik, and Im Shi Wan 🤷‍♀️

      • It’s good if you like him. I don’t like his acting. His voice sounds flat when he talks, not natural. For the rest, in a general way, I find him very stiff, his face barely moved in A Good Day to Be A Dog. He often acted the same kind of character too, he looks cold and not interested in the FL but it’s the opposite.

  2. Good that he can kiss. Maybe he can start working on his acting now that the question about whether can kiss is now out of the way.

  3. Is the drama all about French kisses? LOL. I still don’t get his visuals. Fans can tell me why and how he looks attractive, perhaps on music shows? I guess his acting really takes away some of his charm. Does it?
