K-actor Jo Byung Gyu Requests Second Health Exam for Impending Military Service and Wants Active Duty

I feel like K-actor Jo Byung Gyu was thisclose to a breakout after The Uncanny Counter but whatever is the truth about his alleged bullying scandal the fallout is the reality has has to face. His two year break and then less than buzzy return with The Uncanny Counter 2 just shows that stars have to strike when the iron is hot because buzz is fleeting and there are always up-and-comers in the next wave. So he’s taking another break with military enlistment to come but this weekend he’s in the news with reports that he’s asked for a second health exam to determine his level of enlistment. Apparently his first test came back for public service and you know netizens will only tsk tsk that he’s using physical claims to skirt doing active duty. He’s asked for a re-test and hopes to enroll for active duty. This is the most he can do and if it still comes back public service at least he won’t get accused of trying to dodge full service.

  1. If it is determined physically he’s not ok, why should he force himself? If he dies, knetz will a case govt of carelessness and murder. If he doesn’t get in but validly he’s deemed a dodger? Come on. Trust the process. Unless he paid his way out, what is legitimate remains legitimate.

    • Yeah sadly, because of those popular idols in the past dodging military service, the subsequent artists always get scrutiny. You can see the effect from 2nd gen idols, even with dire conditions like herniated disks or permanent metal implants, they still get criticized. Of course, even among 2nd gen and subsequent, there are those that really dodge military service
