So the week before Christmas all was not quite well in certain corners of the C-ent universe. There were talks recently of Dylan Wang joining Dilraba Dilmurat in a C-drama titled Love on the Turquoise Land (枭起青壤) where she would remain top billing as she has been in multiple dramas now for the past few years. Then came news that Dylan would not do this drama and the reason is that he doesn’t want second billing, which is a legit position for him to take. His fandom and her fandom, though, have gotten into a massive fight over this. Her side is trashing Dylan for thinking he’s too good to be second billed to a top goddess like Dilraba and he hasn’t earned that level of selectiveness. His side says he is a top actor in his own right and can pick any only top billed projects if he wants. The fight has led to both sides insulting each other’s stans. Reportedly it’s now petered down after both stars asked their respective fandoms to cool it.
I’m not a Dylan fan, but if he turns it down then he turns it down LOL. He might have not liked the role or maybe he wants top billing or maybe more scenes, it’s up to him to decide. If he can pick his script then why not? Make it or fail it will be all up to him.
Does he really have lots of say in what drama he really wants? Likely his management company does not want him to be second billing to Dilraba. It will just not reflect well on his brand. I dont know just how Dilraba can carry a drama on her own…if this drama is not great. Dylan will equally be judged.

Everyone knows your queen of trash is Zhao Liying, you praise her everywhere you go. NONE of her drama have any storyline, and they do not have ending.

The theme sounds cool, a modern fantasy suspense story. I believe the story has a female protagonist, so it would make sense for her to be top billing. This would be a new genre and challenge for her.
Same director as Tientsin Mystic, The Disappearing Child, and Sea of Dreams. He knows his sci-fi. If I were offered a lead actor role, regardless of billing position, this seems like an interesting project.

I think it’s good to remember that Koala is a blog poster, she doesn’t always get all the facts right and often misses out/ omits certain information so fights aren’t always what they seem to be about on the surface or have progressed from what initially sparked the war of words. I don’t follow with Dylan or Dilireba much but I think the fights escalated when his fandom started dissing her acting skills (the audacity when his acting isn’t great either) and her fandom trended a topic mocking his member size (2cm).

top billing, who gets billed at the top, obviously. who gets paid the most. should be similar to going on job interview, not good idea to negotiate salary, or even mention about pay. these things are not decided by the actors, they not allow to say anything about it. these issues depend on how their broker represents them, and the producer final decisions base on how important the roles they play and screen time. people are unprofessional these days and talk about these. in the past, anyone with this attitude will get black listed. i think it still applies today too, esp people with no good connection, they won’t dare to be so audacious. i believe it’s only those with powerful connnections that dare to talk about things they shouldn’t.

Wang Hedi DID NOT TURN DOWN the drama but rather his team CLARIFY that all the rumors were just being rumors. And ask everyone not to believe it. There is no yet reliable source that the drama was offered to Wang Hedi. Reba and her studio didn’t respond to these kind of issues.
