Lee Seon Kyun’s Altar Set Up for Memorial and Funeral Scheduled for Two Days Later on December 29th — 22 Comments

  1. Not fair. So not fair. Hi didn’t harm anyone. He was just a simple (great) actor, not a corrupt politician. He didn’t harm his country, just made mistakes in his own private life. Look at Hunter Biden’s charges: tons of drugs, trafficking prostitution, illegal guns possession, setting up and joining corrupt businesses in many countries to get bribes for his father and himself, not paying taxes – everything is documented in pictures and emails by Hunter himself, you don’t even have to blackmail him. And he is still walking around laughing while his corrupt president father is running for second turn. I’m crying.

    • Off topic, if you live in the US better start bringing a mace spray or something in your bag to keep yourself safe! The border let in unprecedented number of immigrants this week, I am horrified at the pictures coming out. 10+% women and children, rest are able bodied men who can literally form an army. If this continues in America,

      • I am compelled to comment on not just your insensitive post unrelated to this topic but your blatantly obviously racist soul. The nerve to be watching kdrama, comment on kdrama blog but be afraid of “immigrants” because you feel so “afraid”. Shameless and disgusting.

    • You are really an ostrich. This is not the space to pollute this forum with politics that is no way related to this article. Especially one that is full of misinformation.

    • Wow, it is amazing how you can bring in politics misinformation to this article. Why not mention Trump and his children who have benefited from Trump presidency, blurring the lines of family, nation and business.

      • @Susan
Misinformation? Not relevant? I’m a journalist/interpreter who loves Kdramas and just happened to be a part of Hunter Biden’s Ukrainian investigation since 2019. That’s why I said that Lee Seon had received an unfair treatment from police and media. He was made into a scapegoat to misdirected public attention because much more important people, corrupt politicians and officials were involved in this scandal. As I said, he didn’t harm his country, only made personal mistakes, was a victim of blackmail, and they still hounded him to his death. Do you even understand what I’m referring to?

In 2019, we interviewed dozens of witnesses in Hunter Biden’s financial crimes in Ukraine. Using drugs and prostitution in Ukraine is not a crime because Westerners made Ukraine into their silent criminal playground. And when the Ukrainian witnesses were ready to testify in front of congress, Putin started the war in 2022. He was goaded to start the war by Biden administration to cover up their crimes in Ukraine. Now all the witnesses are either in hiding or were killed. The whole country became the scapegoat just like Lee Seon.

      • Although American politics is not directly relevant to LSK’s death, I, among many Americans, do believe something fishy going on in Biden’s family and Hunter’s dealing with top Chinese secret agents. I also believe Democrat’s wrong foreign policies at the beginning of Biden’s admin encouraged Putin to start the war.

That being said, not sure about the conspiracy theories behind LSK’s investigation and his suicide. But it’s not impossible since celebrity scandals coincided a lot with more notorious political fallouts within the power and the privileged in Asian countries like China and S. Korea.

Although S. Korea is a democracy, the country isn’t ranked very high on the quality of democracy by several reports.

    • I agree with @Sonya. How LSK was treated by the media, police and netizens was so unfair. He did wrong but I believe it was blown out of proportion. I also agree with the comparison with Hunter Biden. Everything is a cover up. I hope and pray that the truth will be uncovered and the corrupt mainstream media be exposed for what they really are.

  2. I am saddened and shocked to read about his death. Though I knew about the scandal I did not read much about it. I refused to judge him because he is a human being first before he’s an actor and I do not know his life or what he was going through etc. His passing has a lot of consequences. My sympathy goes towards his wife, sons and those who really matter to him. I respected his talent and enjoyed his work. Its unfortunate he had to leave that way. As for the k-netizens – judge lest ye be judged, you do not know him-the person. I have no sympathy for them, when *hit hits the fan on them. To me they have contributed too much to many talented people deaths/destruction. I wonder most times if and when will they have a conscience realizing the impact that the words on the net is for the destruction of another human being? I’ll end my rant right there. Once again condolences to his family, the k-entertainment industry and am hoping that this tragedy does not repeat itself. Stay strong, retain your humanity and soar.

  3. how will sbs conduct their drama’s award? must be awkward. he was in one of sbs drama this year. must be hard for them to conduct the drama’s award during the same day

  4. It will be another loss for KOREAN artists and the movie industry. It was so unfortunate to lose such a great actor. May HE rest in Peace.

  5. Sad to lose such a great actor irrelevant on what he did or didn’t do in his personal life. May he rest in peace. And for those who he left behind, I hope they’re all doing okay. I can only imagine how tough it is to deal with a loss like this.

  6. I just saw how his wife cried so painfully…I cannot help crying with her. This is so heartbreaking to see…I cannot imagine how their 2 sons feel…
