C-ent Gossip Says C-drama Offering Fish with Chen Fei Yu and Wang Ying Lu is Poised to be a Hot Mess with Script Issues
So this is the kind of tea I love, harmless and hilarious if true and if not then the end result is a good drama rather than a bad so even better. Chen Fei Yu and Wang Ying Lu just started filming C-drama Offering Fish (Xian Yu) based on the popular novel Offering Salted Fish to Master and already the gossip coming out of the Hengdian set does not bode well. Chen Fei Yu allegedly does not have a lot of scenes, female lead Wang Ying Lu is filming this drama and another drama at the same time, and the two second leads Gao Han and Wang Yi Ting are off filming their own scenes like a completely different drama. I don’t know how this can be but weirder things have happened on C-drama sets before with the end result seen onscreen when the drama airs.

It will be interesting to see just how much bonding this drama cast have…and how much chemistry the leads have.
It is a shame as C-dramas are no longer looking to get better… many high budget dramas are used a long advert to market the liuliangs , create new liuliangs, all so the liuliangs can make money thru advertisement. Who care if the artistes are good actors or not, whether the script is very well written, how good the directing, editing is, viewers complain but they will still watch the dramas with their fav idols.

Since China new cap on salary for actors, which is good some salaries were just ridiculously high, at the cause of others. But with every rule, there will be abuse. The cap will now cause the popular artistes and agency to turn to CF(Commercial Film) , modelling, products representations etc to earn their profit. So selling artiste image is key…acting comes after. The need to build a healthier and skilled industry carry no importance.
I like the phrase “fast food model.” Yes, I agree. There are so many dramas dropped each month, I don’t know how any one viewer could keep up.

You are right. I don’t think anyone can keep up with these dramas. At lease for the last two years or so – they are churning them out like crazy and most of them are terrible. I rather have quality then quantity. I feel like any newbies can play leads in these dramas. 🙄🙄🙄
It’s not possible to know how much screentime anyone is going to get and it’s not possible to know anything going on with the script besides what’s being filmed or not being filmed

WYL can be penalized because it’s against the rules doing two projects at the same time IF she gets reported and investigated
People love to say CFY have great resources due to his dad but his career is not doing well besides he have so very few acting projects compared to his competitors so people are inhaling bad stuff
@Jiao, Oh, Really? I never knew. In China there is a rule against filming two projects at the same time? But variety shows, interviews and photo shoots etc are fine. Just not 2 dramas or films at the same time.
As for Chen Fei Yu, I am suspecting his dad may not want him to fall under the typical high liuliang actor…he was him to learn and sharpen his craft steadily. I may be wrong, just a opinion.
Yeah his dad wants him to take film path, but cfy unfortunately is aiming for liuliang.
