Yu Shu Xin’s Team Researched Top Korean Idol Jang Won Young’s Makeup and Outfits and Will be Using it on Her Next Image Transition

So this week C-actress Yu Shu Xin shared a new photoshoot and debuted a very spring vibe. Her outfitting team is apparently going for a very specific look, that of top Korean idol Jang Won Young and her distinct makeup and dressing vibe. I don’t follow K-pop but everyone has heard of how popular Jang Won Young is and seen her pictures. She kinda always looks the same to be, very doll like with porcelain makeup and colorful eye/cheeks and lips. Reportedly Yu Shu Xin’s team has researched Jang Won Young’s “look” and will be using the same on her in this next iteration. Once you know it’s hard to unsee how much Yu Shu Xin has been turned into a Jang Won Young-lite in these pics. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

  1. Ah yes, the ‘dying of consumption in the 1800s’ look – so chic!

This just looks like douyin makeup with less attention to the eyes which is already trendy in China so I’m not sure where the Jang Won Young angle comes from? Did her team give an interview?

  2. Lol did you mean Zhao Lusi instead? Is this another case of pushing the allegations against me to my rival actresses marketing?

  3. I don’t see it because she doesn’t have JWY features and even similar vib so I never put 2 &2 together. I’ve seen similar post about ZHaoLusi.

  4. Oh, I had no idea Jang Wonyoung trademarked long wavy hair with bangs and lighter make up [sarcasm]. She doesn’t own the look. tons of kpop idols have had similar styles over the years. Stop trying to make it seem like everyone like ZLS and YSX is copying her based on like one photoshoot. ZLS rumors were even more ridiculous considering she actually just seems like she’s been trying out all sorts of looks.

  5. This is such weird gossip news. Obviously nobody in her team would come out and say something like this. Kind of seems like a madeup thing to attract negativity to Esther Yu.

  6. I think this new style looks good. She just needs to go back to her normal speaking voice and take on more serious roles.

  7. OMG… This makeup totally does not fit her face!! Almost one decade difference in age (1995 vs 2004). My little sister (age 20) likes this type of makeup but not me even though we are 3 years apart. Esther looks more like a Chinese Opera actress here. It always makes me cringe when she is trying to act cute and speak with a squeeky voice. Can she act more her age please? The PS in all her pictures also shows how fake her image is.
