First Look at Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan in Period C-drama Fated Hearts

So there is a name change for the currently filming period C-drama starring Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan. It was originally called Wan Xin Ji 綰心記 but now has the new title Yi Xiao Sui Ge 一笑随歌 which means One Smile Accompanying Song, and it’s a combination of the two lead characters names. The female lead is named Yi Xiao (one smile) and the male lead is named Sui Ge (accompanying song), and I find this a cute title and more lyrical than the original. First stills are out of the two leads in character as well and both look very intense and I like the mood very much.

  2. They look like mother and son omg.

Is it so difficult for actresses to find actors who are closer to their age bracket who are willing to be 2nd billing to them?

    • You don’t need to bring her down like that. She does not look old and he does not look that young for his age. Now if they have chemistry on screen is another story. Some may not may not look totally compatible but great acting can make everything seem small.

To me, they’re both good looking and I look forward to see them!

      • @alyssia
I agree. Even though Li Qin 1990 and Chen Zhe yuan 1996, I think they look compatible as li qin has a youthful look.

In The Double, wu Jin yan 1990 and Wang Xing Yue 2002 = 12 years
Yet surprisingly, nobody on koala site complain about it.
I felt WJY looks older than him but she looks youthful when she dresses up as a boy. Morever the book stated clearly that he is supposed to be older than the “rebirth” WJY.

    • She is like six years older than him and he looks like a completely grownup ass man in his thirties, stops trying to make him look like he is little lad

    • What about the 17 y/o gap between Gao Wei Guang and Nana Ouyang? He could be her father? LOL.🤣

@Tsk or @Sigh, or do you only have a problem when the women are older? 😂

  3. Currently I have watched Chen Zhe Yuan in modern drama and enjoyed it. I dropped his period dramas as it was just not great. Hope this will be good…

Li Qin, I dont warm to but will check out drama if cast is interesting. Good luck for them both…I hope the script is good.

  4. I have only watched this guy in Hidden Love and I found him mid. Li Qin, she’s a good actress, but I would not watch a drama only for her. So I guess it all comes down to the story and the production.

  5. So he accepted his fate of second billing after months of struggling? Good for him and his team to finally stop being delusional.

    • Their recent booting ceremony from twitter I believe they were introduced as equal billing. LiQin made sure of that by pulling CZY on stage with her at the same time when the casting announcement/billing status was made. It’s sweet in the video that CZY seemed surpised/reluctant when it happened- suggests there’s humility in him about the billing status fiasco that’s happened recently.

BTS of the filming suggests these two get along really well too; LiQin doesn’t usually show this much fun with filming in ages.

      • That’s an interesting tidbit. I don’t dislike Li Qin but I’m not a fan either. She was likeable enough in Joy of Life.

CZY seems likeable BTS as well. He gets along fine with costars/staff etc. Makes me think that all the billing craziness is actually his agency’s nonsense.

When he blew up post HL, his fans were pissed that his agency didn’t promote him more afterwards. They had to outline suggestions for the agency in order to hype him up.

  6. After the Double, I think I’m willing to give a shot to any C costume drama unless any leading actor is already in my blacklist.

I’m also curious about the English title. No “Love” PLZ. LOL.

  7. He looks terrible in costumes and he is only mid in modern dramas. I would feel sorry for lq but she asked for it by saying yes to this. Eh.

  8. Li Qin doesnt look old for her age. Rather youthful imo. But she does seem sophisticated which can give off noona vibes. CZY is mature in his acting but boyish in his looks. I guess it’ll depend how he carries himself in d drama. In hidden love, he was great in the emotional scenese but from middrama he comes off as lil greasy to me.

  9. I hope this turn out to be good for everybody.

I’ll always have a soft spot for LQ because of her relationship with Xiao Zhan. They’ve a very nice friendship besides she is the only actress who have worked with him so many times. They’re each other’s comfort zone.
