C-drama The Story of Pearl Girl with Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning Releases New Posters and Reportedly Scheduled for November 1, 2024 Premiere
Word on the street was that Youku was trying to speed up the release of its Tang dynasty big budget drama The Story of Pearl Girl with Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning into a very drama packed October, likely towards the end. This week two new lead posters were released along with new rumored release updates. It will reportedly premiere on November 1 on Youku streaming and three days later air on three major regional network television channels, so the streaming will get a three day head start before the drama reaches a broader audience on television. I really like these two new posters and of course remain super hyped for this drama to arrive.
Lower the expectations people it helps so much in enjoying any show 😆.
That is how I treat all C-dramas now.. Unfortunately. But typical problems with c-dramas…top half may be quite good…second half train wreck. Ending is also a issue.

Is it based on novel or original script?
I also keeo my expectation as lower as possible. I had some highly anticipatid dramas, but i dropped halfway through.
Liu Yuning is one busy man. I’ve been listening to his ost for many dramas including the current airing dramas. He works so hard.

I agree, when does he ever have time to rest. But, he’s been waiting for this popularity for alongtime now. So he’s making the most of it. Love his Drama Theme songs!
At least this looks like it has some solid plotlines, compared to her upcoming modern drama.

Looking at the trailer, she looks great. It will depend on the plot because it has been done, successfully, multiple times by now. There needs to be something fresh to make it happen.
He looks terrible but she has carried other MLs before so maybe she can again and Blossoms in Adversity has shown that if the FL is good in this type of story, audience will overlook a bad ML.

I agree , LYN looks good to me, I like the fact he is not your usual pretty boy.
If bloated looking, mouse-like, bad actors are your thing, there is no shame in it. Tastes differ of course. I leave such mediocrities all to you!
Enough of bashing LYN. I personally like how he looks! Not your usual pretty boy but very pleasant looking and his height! Ge is looking better these days with better posture and his hard work is showing.
