Xiao Zhan in Talks for Male Lead in Tsui Hark Directed Action Movie Shih, Queen of the Sea with Crystal Liu
So the big Tsui Hark directed Legend of the Condor Heroes movie isn’t out yet but he must be very pleased with male lead Xiao Zhan because industry chatter says he’s offered the male lead in his next movie to him as well. It’s a female lead centric action movie Shih, Queen of the Sea based on a female pirate and the female lead is going to be Crystal Liu. Xiao Zhan is doing so well in his entree into C-movies I’m so happy for him. This movie will reportedly be a two-parter with Crystal as the female lead in the first past and the second part will have Oscar winning actress Michelle Yeoh stepping into the same role but in her older age. Sounds so cool!
I’d love to see XZ in a film with Michelle Yeoh, not so excited about LYF though. I’d rather see XZ in a male-centric filming project than costar with famous actresses in female-centric stories. I hope he won’t depart from drama zone too long.
His newly released album is full of self-reflected sentiment in the lyrics and artistry. So many talents!
This rumor is like eons ago. XZ has too many casting rumors, don’t know which one to believe.
This is long time ago rumour and xz studio never confirm it so it most likely just fake rumour.
I will wait to watch his coming movie first…then we will see what happens next.

The person who released the rumor that LYF is in it, is LYF herself. She has been licking it like crazy.
As for XZ, that’s an old rumor.
Which means xz role will ebay recast to older actor. I wonder who?
It’s not the same character. In her later years she captured an Englishman and eventually got very close to him. By that time, the ML from the first was dead.
This sounds like a support or even guest role, so if XZ is doing it it would be out of respect for the director, and maybe the leading lady he will be acting against (I know I would go out of my way to be able to work with Michelle Yeoh!). Otherwise, I am sure he has many more interesting things to do.
Looking forward to see XZ in C dramas/movies. I am hoping one day to see him with Zhao Lusi as ML and FL. These two are my favourite actor and actress. I hope my wish come true.
