• Well, if this is true, please let the people survive. LYN is becoming the BWS of China, where his character dies in all his recent costume dramas, with Pearl Girl, Journey to Love, Heroes (both of them), etc.

• That first image is beautiful. I loved this drama so I would be interested in a sequel if it was set in the same universe. The story created such an interesting world with many well-rounded characters and factions.

  I actually thought after I finished AJTL that a sequel about how Princess Yang Ying and Li Tong Guang navigate their new roles and relationship would be cool.

  • Yes! Omg that would be great! They could really have a spin-off/sequel with their relationship dynamics from enemies to allies to lovers. They have such great chemistry together as well even in the short time they were a "couple" in the last few episodes.

    And you're so right! I love this story as well and the world building is just amazing. So many possible stories to tell

    • @Choochoo: Right?! There are so many juicy tropes in their potential love story along with how they handle taking power, dealing with all the court politics and inter-country diplomacy, how they will manage without the Scarlet guards.
      I think a sequel will, however, struggle to follow on from the beautiful brotherhood of the Six Realms Hall boys (plus honorary members RuYi and Yang Ying). Their unconventional family really helped make the drama for me.

  • First they will have that baby that they teased us with the whole drama, then they die. Happy ending would be if the baby survives.

    I liked Princess Yang Ying.the main CP became boring.

• Wait so they are remaking the exact story with a better ending or making a whole new story with different characters and actors? So confusing… or a sequel with unrelated characters but characters existing near events that ended from the first?🙃🤨

    • imo not really that many. most comments/criticisms about him were mostly bec of his own statements like one of his most controversial statement was ‘you don’t need acting skills for custom dramas and you only need to look good’ then he keep on joining custom dramas in the recent years instead of preparing to make and release a proper album. He’s also a repeated offender on making snide remarks borderline bullying remarks to other artists during his many livestreams.

    • @HL Depends on how you define anti-fan. If you think someone who criticize his visuals and/or acting is an anti-fan, then yes he has many.

• Sighs...loved the first half but second half was super questionable *ahem writer. The whole main casts were a great ensemble team which were the heart of the show and knew how to play their roles.
