Kim Sae Ron Recently Changed Her Name to Kim Ah Rim in Preparation for a Comeback and Her Posthumous Final Project Will Be the Completed Filming Movie Guitar Man
The investigation into K-actress Kim Sae Ron’s passing remains ongoing so I don’t want to speculate on cause of death or reason behind it. But her friends are speaking out and one told a news outlet that Kim Sae Ron was upbeat in recent months, she had changed her name to Kim Ah Rim in preparation for a comeback in K-ent, finished filming her role in movie Guitar Man, and was even talking about investing and starting up a coffee shop. In other words, the friend says her passing was beyond shocking to someone who knew her. Despite her being soft cancelled after her DUI incident, her casting in Guitar Man shows that there are still projects willing to cast her, and this movie will now become her posthumous work. Across K-ent, remembrances from her follow entertainers are being shared. The police have also announced that the cause of death will not be released after consulting her family’s wishes and feelings, but did rule out external third party reasons.

Its so sad to hear she was doing better only for everything to be gone in a moment. If she was suffering from severe depression, anything could have triggered it. It happened to a friend of mine and is still something I quite believe despite it happening 2 years ago. The most recent article says she left no note or will but its indeed suicide. I hope Sae-ron is in a better and happier place now. And I wish her family and friends stregnth during this difficult time.

The article says that before she reached the hospital, she went into cardiac arrest. But the reason that she had to be brought to the hospital was self harm which the police has confirmed already.

Even as a child actress she had the most disturbing roles of her peers and it was weird to see her repeatedly being forced into those mentally harrowing roles in her not even teen years. Her transition to adult roles never truly happened and it’s probably been a sign of how things might have been for her financially back then. Actually when you think about it the transition to child actor to adult actor has destroyed many young stars and the few that have survived are truly miracles. I feel at some point KSR was replaced by NJU and KHG as the rising stars of the 2000s era while KSH and KYJ pulled to far ahead of her as the Kim Trio disintegrated into the Kim Duo. Sidus did a good job of promoting that rivalry and ensuring the two names always come up together but KSR agency never gave her the media play she needed to breakout and then she went to YG and was basically put in the dungeon. Her depression and overall breakdown is also due to the lack of a healthy support system since her parents are famously stage parents who made a young child the breadwinner of their family. It’s a sad end to what was once a promising young talent and especially looking back at the articles Koala once wrote about the Kim Trio as the future of Kdrama it’s really sad to see how much things changed in just a decade. Too young and just truly starting the second phase of her career but it’s been a bad time to be a young star with fewer and fewer drama and movies being made and OTT manipulating which stars should have prestige projects. It’s sad the whole situation is just sad and most of us have been here since her debut which makes the journey even more disheartening.

I’ll say one thing – I’ve *never* regretted a single thing I said about KSR in the past. I never will either because I don’t post thoughtlessly. Her death does not change the opinion I had of her when she was alive. I never wished her ill back then, never hated on her other than calling her out for her mistakes. So today I’ve got zero guilty feelings. Just regret for her that she couldn’t fight through it.

I completely agree with your sentiment and good for you for stating it. Too many tear celebrities down then pretend to vilify others just like them when a life is lost. If you’re posting online with good intentions and kindness, there’s no reason to regret anything. What truly contributes to suicide isn’t the comments like “I hope she gets her life together” or “I expected better from her, she’s a mess, I hope she gets help.” It’s the harsh ones like “this girl deserves to die, cancel her!” or “never show your face to us again”—those are the ones that really hurt, and sadly, they’re everywhere. We all needed to have empathy, but not everyone did.
When the LSK scandal broke out, I was extremely sympathetic to him and always said it was unfair to judge until the court does. In KSR’s case it was proved she drive under influence and I gave her flack for it and wished she would get proper adult guidance and talk to a therapist so she can live a proper life. I was upset with her actions and hoped she would reflect & show remorse but she never took that path. I dont think I could have done better as I had been genuine in praying she gets the help she obviously needed. The situation with her fake job posts, KSH photo post, etc situation were all smoke and mirrors and fed into the umbrella issue of her needing attention. Again that meant she needed help. It also doesnt mean we should all not have any opinions when celebrities screw up. But they key word is empathy of which many lack.
It really breaks my heart that she never got the support she needed. I follow her on Instagram, but I only just heard she may have been engaged recently. It’s especially sad because there was a chance she could’ve gotten help, but it just wasn’t enough.

I think a point of view or even an allegation loses all credibility when the commentator feels the needs to create sock puppets to respond to one’s self or add on the same validation, IMO. I’m a regular reader of this blog and I quite distinctly remember an OG KJW fan calling you out in another article for being a toxic fan who draws hate to KJW. Even her old fans realize it’s new fans like YOURSELF who is the problem. How unsurprising and they used to be the quiet bunch. I dont need to insult “all of you” – if you are insulted, then that just shows your guilt. Koalasplayground is not the only site for kdrama fans and I’ve seen her psychotic fans not just here, but everywhere spewing hate not just to her costars but to other far more accomplished actresses as well.
