Yang Zi Selects Chinese Traditional Ying Ge Dance Drama as Her Next Project
I like the direction Yang Zi has taken the last three years with her career but not every pick is a winner. Her last drama the serious Born to be Alive set in the Tibetan plains about environmental conservation ended up with less than stellar viewership, reportedly due to the darker theme and too serious pacing. She will reportedly head into production soon and has selected as her next drama Puo Chun Guang ç ´æ˜¥å…‰ or Breaking Spring Light. It’s the story of a female agent and the male heir of a traditional Ying Ge dance troupe. So romance plus highlighting a famous Chinese traditional dance style, set in modern times. The male lead is likely going to be Wang An Yu who just looks better onscreen in modern fare.
What an odd pairing. But it is true he looks amazing in modern fare.
Both are ordinary in appearance and average in acting. It’s a good combination.
yangzi has said that she hasn’t chosen anything because she wants to rest after filming her current drama as she is tired.
Lol her last project flopped because she was horrible in it. Love how you try to throw the blame on the viewers. Yes, it’s the audience that doesn’t understand your fave’s excellent dramas, it couldn’t possibly be that your fave was just trash in it. Hope you enjoyed the entire cent dragging her for her horrible acting.
Hu Ge was amazing and carried the show while he was still there and you should thank him for it otherwise what little this show had would also have been lost.

I enjoy her choices…she has moved to take control over her selections, all true to her heart.She no longer has a demanding agency that uses her as Bai Lu is used. I have been a fan of her since she was young. I may not like all her dramas as some just dont appeal to me…but I love how she will try different genes. And she does set aside months learning real skills of the characters she takes on.
