The First Frost is the Unexpected Fastest Out of the Gate February 2025 C-drama Over The White Olive Tree, Kill My Sins, and Love of the Divine Tree
February isn’t a hot month for premiering C-dramas, as it comes after the usual lunar new year holidays and before the build up to spring and the fresh start vibe. Still, there are plenty of C-dramas big budget to small that premiered this month and the current winner of the viewership number is a surprise. It’s Youku with The First Frost with Bai Jing Ting and Zhang Ruo Nan, which didn’t get as much promotional push due to real life news other coverage but in three days and airing 7 episodes it’s got 16 million views. In comparison, The White Olive Tree with Chen Zhe Yuan and Liang Jie on iQiyi has aired twenty days with 12 million views total, Love of the Divine Tree with Deng Wei and Xiang Han Zi also on iQiyi in fourteen days has 13 million views, and Kill My Sins with Liu Shi Shi and Shawn Dou on Youku in fourteen days has 20 million views. The first Douban rating is out as well for Olive Tree at 5.4 but the other three are still not yet available.

I think that's White olive tree is the best C drama I ever watched
I agree wholeheartedly.
I’ve never watched anything quite like it. And although I couldn’t bring myself to watch the last two episodes, the drama will remain indelibly etched in my mind, my heart and my memory. Unlike the other two dramas that I dropped because I just lost interest, though they seem to be more popular with local and international audiences.
Here’s wishing that The White Olive Tree wins awards, for being brave enough to tackle such a challenging subject. I was blown away by the acting and have a newfound respect and admiration for the lead actor and actress’s talents.

I really like The First Frost more than other dramas. Well, i dropped the rest. I love seeing BJT and ZRN's chemistry. I just hope that they wont drag the plot after ep 20 like other dramas.
Bai Jing Ting is hard carrying that show. Pretty lady Zhang Ruo Nan can't act, she has the same expression throughout the show, reminding me of Cheng Xiao in Falling Into Your Smile.
lol, that’s an insult. What she delivered, she did. I read the book/comic and unfortunately it’s in line with the character, although, one could argue that a more melodramatic actress could have acted better and make it more emotional charged and I would agreed… but to compare w/ CX. 🤣
Zhang Ruo Nan is a good acctress. Watched her in my love with Greg Hsu, she is really good.
I'm planning to watch it knowing her starring in it.
I am a fan I wish I could watch all the episodes at once stopped at ten and searched the net for more episodes Netflix usually is good but mine stalled for some reason I did find ep.11 but ready for more waited all day wonder if it's ready 🤔

I think LotDT is super underrated. It was really enjoyable and finally a full ending. Really love all the other dramas too and especially TWOT broke my heart.
I become bore with First Frost esp episode 15. I know the girl is introvert with trauma. But it should not be that exteny that she does not think herself. And also supporting characters esp in her office are not helping too. They are like no brainer. And there is Sang Yan. Guys, communicate at least between you two.😅
