Zhao Lu Si’s Female Lead Period C-drama Ask Dan Zhu Reportedly Gets Wang Zi Qi as the Male lead
There remains a lot of potential dramas that claim Zhao Lu Si has been offered the female lead role (usually true) or has accepted (rarely true), but among this current group as she picks her next project it’s looking more and more like it will be period C-drama Ask Dan Zhu (Wen Dan Zhu 问丹朱). It’s from the same novelist as Jun Jiu Ling and is a strong female lead story and definitely Zhao Lu Si at this stage in her career is always going to be top billed and go for projects like this. The male lead will reportedly be Wang Zi Qi, who is either very handsome in traditional Chinese visuals or not handsome at all depending on the two extremes of netizen opinion lol. I like him, he’s different looking and more importantly both a good actor and actually exudes strong onscreen charisma which isn’t always a given. This pairing intrigues me so let’s wait and see if it’s confirmed for either or both.
Yah he is pretty cool. So far I have not been disappointed in his acting. Not a bad pairing.
His latest drama Embers is good. He is not a traffic actor but has a solid acting reputation as a drama throwing face in diverse genres Hope Zhao Lusi is ok. Does she have to go back to the other one?
Finally more interesting casting news about ZLS’ male lead after Hidden Love. Her MLs have failed her dramas since then. I have a very positive impression about WZQ. Hopefully ZLS is doing fine and won’t be wasted on her upcoming projects.
Any drama with Zhao Lusi, I will surely watch. She always has good chemistry with her male lead.

I really like WZQ in Imperial Coroner. I also enjoyed his two modern dramas with Wang Yuwen. This is a pretty refreshing pairing!
WZQ appears to be an attractive young man so I don’t understand the discrepancy of his appearance. I’m from average looking American people of Irish and Swedish ancestry and yes, I’d like to be more attractive but even not so good looking actors and actresses can be appealing with great acting skills. Someone else wrote that “The Sword and the Brockade”
drama was slow and a waste of good players but I actually bought it on DVD. So if this new drama is quicker then Yea. I like traveling dramas such as Japanese A. Kurasawas”The Hidden Fortress”
Looking forward to see both if it is true. Hopefully ZLS is fully recovered. Any dramas with ZLS I am going to watch. She’s a great actress.

Ooooohhhh Wang Ziqi is a solid one acting-wise. Reminds me of Ding Yuxi in terms of talent.
Is she okay to start acting again? I wish she would take more time to heal fully from her recent health crisis.. love her and hope she is able to continue acting for a long time. So I hope she takes care of herself
