Huang Yang Tian Tian Removed as Female Lead for Period Drama Opposite Hou Ming Hao One Week After Scandal with Questions Over Her Family’s Wealth
This is certainly a likely fast fall before a star even got a chance to become famous. TBH I don’t really feel bad because it all happened because she wanted to show off, though young girls tend to want to look pretty and rich so it’s also rather predictable to have happened. C-actress Huang Yang Tian Tian wore over $300K USD Graff luxury earrings to her 18th birthday and graduation party igniting C-netizen speculation where her family (father a former government employee) could have that kind of money to afford it. It was discovered they also own a multi-million dollar home and even more luxury jewelry, and her father led the reconstruction department in Ya’an in Sichuan Province after the earthquakes leading to allegations of graft. It was also discovered that the family had a second child, a son and Huang Yang Tian Tian’s younger brother during his time in government which is illegal. The father is now under investigation. This week C-ent casting insiders say Huang Yang Tian Tian had been cast as the female lead opposite Hou Ming Hao in the period drama 雀骨 Cui Gu or Peacock Bone but has been swiftly removed now, and the production is in talks with Xiang Han Zi to be the female lead. Huang Yang Tian Tian’s recently finished C-drama Rebirth (Princess Agents 2) with Li Yun Rui is also facing concerns about being able to broadcast down the road.
Pretending to be royalty especially in the time your society faces economic challenges is really unwise and unethical. And the netizens have just begun to dig dirt on her. I saw a news about how she had stolen the role of little CQ in PA from another actress (Ge Lisha) and posted the laters’ photos on set with ZYL. They say her parents kept pulling the strings all these years so she could get the best roles. Now the whole of her career is being undermined. As we use to say “the bird has escaped from the cage”. Whether her family is innocent or not she has gotten herself into lots of trouble.
Regarding “Rebirth” being in limbo, I can’t say I feel sorry. As a viewer the half-sequel half-remake was a nail to one of my favorite C drama’s (i.e., PA) coffin. Nonetheless, I feel bad for the rest of Rebirth’s cast.
So the PA story is true… Karma is such a b#%×@tch
Well that is not looking good
This newbie’s downfall is swift. Sounds like her parents have lots of answering to do. She really shot herself in the foot.
But the news about have second child without telling Gov during the Single Child system, I do find that sad. We know many babies were killed or abandon during those years.
Typo: Not newbie..I mean actress.
silly girl.
Wow I really liked this actress. I remember her early child roles in The King’s Woman, The Wolf, and The Long Ballad. Really enjoyed her in Perfect Match as the youngest sister; she has a lot of presence and looked to have a lot of potential to become a popular lead actress. She has Rebirth on the way and I hope it still airs with her in it. She joined the list of actors whose work I would be looking out for so it would be a shame if this could possibly end her career. I just recently watched Perfect Match: A Trip of Friendship, and the last ep I watched had her saying her farewells to the rest of the cast because she had another schedule. They all treated her like their little sister giving her gifts before she left.

I feel somewhat bad for her since since she’s still in her teens and her parents are the ones who really eff-ed up. She was probably in preschool when/if her dad accepted bribes and like grew up thinking that her family had obtained their wealth legitimately. People are acting like she is the one who screwed her parents over (albeit unknowingly). If the earrings are real: I’m not sure if she bought the earrings herself or her parents got them for her, but having the earrings and comfortably flaunting them would mean that her family has no issue with flaunting this wealth. A situation like the dad wearing a $500K USD watch while visiting her on set would have surfaced.
I do think she’s a little too young to be paired up with an actor a full decade older, so I’m not sad that she won’t be the FL anymore for that period drama with Hou Ming-hao. I’m a little sad that she’s likely not going to be in anything else anymore since she has a charming screen presence.
Still, if allegations are true – the corruption must be punished. The enjoyment of 17 years of ill-gotten wealth must be repaid. If there are unpaid fines related to having a second child – that needs to be paid too.
I have seen celebrities falling for many reasons but for earrings, lol that’s a new.
lol I literally laughed out loud after these news about her… Im glad she will be out for a while from drama castings I have hope for…
Im still not glad with new melons for Hou Ming Hao’s new drama tho ughhh they dont even have CP sense to them…
#OnlyInChina where flaunting of wealth can get you penalized or worse, investigated and jailed.
She’s young so I’m not sure she’s really to blame. Clearly her parents should have known better under the current political climate not to flaunt any wealth made legally or illegally. Political and wealthy families really need media training and some kind of internal code of conduct since it’s honestly so easy to make a wrong move these days.
