Tencent Reportedly to Release Modern Romance C-drama Love’s Ambition with Zhao Lu Si and William Chan End of June 2025
For those waiting for C-actress Zhao Lu Si to come back to the small screen the wait may be over. There is scheduling rumors that Tencent will release Love’s Ambition at the end of this month in June. The drama stars Lu Si with William Chan and from the promos sounds like a dueling emotion and wits romance between the leads with a side of plotting. This is Zhao Lu Si’s last full drama in the bank and after that there was Almost Lover but she never finished filming it due to her health issues at the end of last year. C-ent insiders are saying she’s in a quandary right now as no new production wants to cast her until she resolves the issues with the production of AL, basically if she’s healthy enough to start filming a new drama then she can finish filming AL first. So Love’s Ambition may be the last drama we see of her in the near future so for her sake I hope it’s good.
It is fair to resolve Almost Lover issues completely before moving on… I read someone said her agency pay the fines, which result in Zhao Lusi extending her contract. Unsure if that is true.
But her dislike working with the Director of Almost Lover was spread too. Deng Li is a good director…I enjoyed a number of his productions. I hope those rumours are not true.
In time, I am sure we will watch Zhou Lusi again.

I love ZLS but ‘m not into William Chan. I don’t know if I can watch it for ZLS only.
The first time I watched WC i totally liked him, I liked his cold ML character. But after that it has been a copy-paste of that character and there has been no drama where he had any chemistry with the FL.
Kinda expecting the cold chemistry mainly cause its him, plus ZLS was having mental challenges and with the other issues behind the scenes. Will check it out but I don’t have any high hopes.

After seeing many celebs in my country went under the knife, I saw the similarity with Lusi. At first, i thought it was bcuz of make up. Who doesnt know the power of make up. But then, she has changed. Neither bcuz of makeup nor losing weight.
Whatever makes her happy.
Will give this drama a try later. But William is a miss or… just a few a hit.
