Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok in Talks for Thriller Romance MBC K-drama Liar
So another reunion and this pair is an relative oldie but goodie. Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok are considering starring in the MBC K-drama Liar. If they do it will be a reunion from 8 years ago with the hit SBS medical drama Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim (Dr. Romantic). Liar tells the story of two people who go on a seemingly perfect first date, but then the next morning each presents totally different recollection and retelling of what happened on the date, turning it into a mess of truth and lies. She will play a teacher and he’s a cardiac surgeon in the lead roles. I hope they take it since darker melo romances like his When the Phone Rings can be super addicting to when the story is compelling and the leads have chemistry as these two have shown before to have.
It’s a remake of British crime thriller LIAR and unlike WTPR, there is no romance. Having said that, I think they should both accept it as they have amazing chemistry and it’s not some meloromance for good old time sake but something dark and twisted. And yes, for whatever it’s faults in the second half, WTPR is so addictive thanks to the leads’ phenomemal chemistry, thus the massive loyal fanbase.
I’m not a fan of medical dramas but I might check it out for Seo Hyun Jin.
Both had great chemistry , i was an addict to WTPR , so i will try .

Oh goodie another solid pairing. I also hope he would take up the ex baseball player ML role opposite HHJ for another reunion. Otherwise would love to see him opposite KJW, JSM and SHS. Hope SHJ will be the next guest in yoobari or WP to promote her upcoming drama as a warm up. So excited to see his past FLs warming up his cafe esp his WTPR wifey HJ. Both still haven’t cleansed themselves of their Argan memory. Lol.
